Nothing wrong with us being proud of our books. If that involves self-promotion then so be it. I mean after all if we don't believe in our own works what a sorry world it is.

I wrote my book to keep me sane, out of inspiration and to escape drudgery and boredom. I'd like to think my book solves the problems of the universe but sometimes I think it just reconciles the contradictions in my own mind. But if someone reads it and enjoys it it surely makes me happy because ultimately it has been my life's blood
