I was an English major in college and now I am a paralegal, how is that for irony? The only people who should be deciding what THEIR child/children are reading are the parents of that child/children because ultimately they and they alone know what is best for their child and what their child's reading ability is. If I want a child of mine to read Harry Potter then that is my choice, but if a parent in my child's class has Fundamentalist Christian beliefs and does not want their child reading it well fine that is their choice but do not take away my child's right or better yet my right to make the decision.
