Thanks for your welcome Arctic! Since Mollie - my 9-year-old English Springer - is my faithful reading companion (she gets excited when she sees me carrying a book), she was a good choice for my avatar... and the haiku gave me the perfect place to explain that! There's no literary reference there... it's just that English Springers have always LOOKED like 'Mollie' to my dh and I.

Brown and white dog loves
books that mean a quiet day
and a warm lap

...
catch a quick moment
with words colorful and brief -
the skill escapes me!

But I'm still excited about the group!
