2117 OMG, I know I said earlier that I loved ALL dance movies and the like? Well, I take it back. This weekend a girlfriend and I rented Step Up 2: the Streets, which I had seen before, and I LOVE, but then we also rented Feel The Noise.

Now, for those of you who don't know, this was a movie about a NY boy who gets sent to Puerto Rico when he gets into trouble and finds Reggaeton music. I love Reggaeton, and while not a teenybopper fan, I enjoyed the movie You Got Served which O was in before (with B2K who were still together then). And this was produced by J. Lo so I figured at least there would be some good dancing and music. BOY WAS I WRONG!

There was minimal music, and most of it was just the 2 main guys trying to come up with their own Reggaeton song, and it was really badly done, and the only dancing shots were pretty much when they did club scenes and showed girls grinding their asses into boys crotches.

Ironically enough, my friend and I WERE entertained, mainly by the fact that everytime we thought the movie was as bad as it could get, it got worse! We were cracking up. I am glad that I had her to watch it with...

2117 I saw this last night. I have to say that I was impressed. I didn't see Batman Begins, so I have no comparison to that, and honestly, I wouldn't compare it to the earlier Batman incarnations, they were just so completely different. I was one of the kids in those 'around the city block twice' lines in NY when the first Batman movie came out, and I enjoyed that one, but don't feel the need to compare, they were just so entirely different.

Ledger's performance was amazing, I have to wonder how I would have seen it if he was still around, but I expect quite the same, although his death certainly did add a 'creep factor' to it for me. I am not a huge Bale fan, perse, but found him ok, question though, what was with the voice when in costume? Was this something covered in Batman Begins (as mentioned, I haven't seen it). I guess it makes sense that he would disguise his voice so noone would recognize it, but it seemed a bit corny to me. That was my only comment/complaint about this one.

I was honestly quite disturbed by much of the movie, in a way that I expect was planned, due to the grittiness, the despair, the gore (two-face, nuff said) and the like. It was a scary movie and that says a lot because I usually don't get scared by these comic book movies, my suspension of disbelief capabilities are not THAT good, but this time around it worked.

2117 I went to this movie because someone else wanted to see it, I like comic based movies, but wasn't too familiar with Ironman, so I don't have a lot of comic lore to base my judgements on, but I was really impressed. While I LOVE RD Jr, I didn't imagine him in this role, and I was pleasantly surprised. I left the theater thinking he was perfect for it!

And as some mentioned, not a big Paltrow fan (although I do love Sliding Doors) but I liked her character, actually what I think I liked the most was that the lead wasn't some overly endowed 22 nymphette. Overall, I agree with someone else's son, it was 'awesome"!
2117 It was cute, nostalgic fun. I enjoyed it. I don't analyze these things so much, of course it was over the top, as someone else mentioned, the series always has been. I was glad we were able to revisit. Not sure if they plan on doing more movies with Shia Lebeouf's character, not sure if I would check them out or not. I thought it was a great way to end the series, though.

2117 Ah, Mannequin, who knew plastic could be so much fun, plus it had the ancient Egyptian part, as a young girl I was fascinated with all things Egyptian, still am a bit.

Great, I now too have 'Reproduction' stuck in my head! And Cool Rider, it is really distracting going back and forth between the 2 songs in my head! Ahhh!!! Yeah, the movie was bad, but at least we got to see Frenchy again! And Michelle Pfeiffer made her way past it, so we can too!

2117 All 80s movies were great...hehe. And I have a vague memory of loving Xanadu, and I want to love it, but I have tried rewatching it twice in the last year, it was free with OnDemand, and I fell asleep both times...so I give up.

2117 I hate to admit it, but my real guilty pleasures are 'teen' flicks. 10 Things I Hate About You...etc...and dance movies. You Got Served, Honey, Save The Last Dance. My friends pick on me, especially the one that I dragged to Save The Last Dance back in college. But I just love them.

2117 This movie was HILARIOUS, and I never saw the series either....

2117 I loved it. I actually began tearing up at the end...it was cute, funny and sweet. AND it made me want to exercise, and nothing does that! :)

2117 I don't care how many times they do it, or who is in it, or if it is in theaters or on tv, I LOVE those movies about teachers who make a real difference. I will see every one. Cheesy, maybe, but I always enjoy them. This one included.

2117 Wall-E was great! And it made me want to go exercise right after, and nothing motivates me to do that!! :)

2117 It was alright. My mom dragged me to it because she has a huge crush on McAvoy. I liked some of the effects especially with the bullets, but could have done without all the blood, but again, this isn't a movie I would have been jumping up and down to watch on my own, as I mentioned, I was dragged, but I enjoyed it enough.

2117 Nope, not anymore than the series, LOVED it!

2117 I didn't like it, actually wished I hadn't wasted the time to see it, and I was really looking forward to it. I guess it was ok if you generally go for that genre, but I like something that makes you think, and I was really expecting...more...

2117 I HATED it, now granted, I am no literati nor am I into all the artsy films. But I can appreciate a good movie, no matter the genre. I appreciated the aesthetics of this one, it was quite gorgeous. But it was tedious and slow and unclear. I don't mind having to think at a movie, but with this one I didn't feel like I had to think, I felt like I should have studied or done a thesis on the subject matter and then I might have understood it! Ugh. Sorry, I did try!

2117 Hey Kate! I am so glad that you brought this movie up. And I was right there with you, I really thought that there was another couple between the kids and the couple we see. I still kinda think so, but I admit I have only seen the movie once and that was at least a year ago.

I have to say about this movie that I don't go for 'horror' type movies, and I was a bit hesitant about watching it, but my friends forced me. I am soo glad. It was creepy, but such a unique storyline! I am haunted by it! I will just be driving along the road and I will think about how everything went along, and what a good job they did of keeping it from being obvious or predictable or anything of that nature, and SO few movies do that these days.

I really do kinda hope that there is a sequel, they sure did leave it open so that you could see Kate Hudson's character trying to get into her friend's body, since she wants to be black again. But I would be surprised if they did another because the big mystery is now uncovered, it would be HARD to top the first!

2117 I saw this yesterday, haven't read Ian's work, so can't compare, but it was really a well done and powerful movie. I love James McAvoy, such a good actor, and who would have thought quite as hot as he was in this after seeing him as a goat mix in Narnia! It was great. Quite the tear jerker of course. I hate that feeling in your throat that you get when you are trying not to sob like a baby in a room full of strangers! Argh.

2117 Oh I loved this! I couldn't wait to see it, because I LOVED A & C growing up. This was actually a good addition to the memory, modernized but not bastardized I guess I would say, and Simon when he is flirting with the maid, how freaking cute!

2117 Hey, I just saw this tonight. I have to saw that I really enjoyed it. I LOVED the casting! Amazing stuff. But I do agree with some that I think the dialogue was a bit forced. Witty & cute, but not natural at times. Definitely trying a bit hard. But I still loved it and was pleased with the ending.
