2117 Just watched Death Race last night from Netflix. I have to say that I wasn't expecting much. It's my type of movie and anything with Jason Statham or Tyrese Gibson will make me watch. This one had both! I was pleasantly surprised at how much plot there was. The action was actually the lesser pull for me and I ended up really liking the movie. This is a remake of sorts? Not sure I'd like the 70's version though.

2117 I just watched it on DVD from Netflix. It was good, but heartbreaking. Fantastic wardrobes and great acting. It meant it a bit more that it was based on a true story. I'm always amazed at how well these period pieces are done now.

2117 Don't be so sure on the "actual" nudity. They have props that make it look real. I'm not sure Jason Segel used one or if that was really him, but just be aware that there are ways of making it look like the man is nude, but it's not actually his man parts.

2117 My ten year old daughter is home sick today from school and she and I just watched College Road Trip. A bit sentimental with tons and tons of laughs. Martin Lawrence is his usual funny self and not being a Raven fan, I have to say she was great in this. Great chemistry between her and Lawrence. Funny Donny Osmond moments. This was non stop laughter for us. It was a good way to spend a sick day.

2117 Girls Just Want To Have Fun

LOVE this movie!!! Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt, even a very young, pre-90210 Shannon Doherty. Great, great 80's flick!

2117 I saw this awhile ago and admittedly only watched it because it was starring James McAvoy. I agree with the bad haircut comment - I hardly recognized him! No real plot either, but enjoyable. I too loved it's mid 80's setting. It was funny to see the wardrobe and the music was good.

2117

We just saw it. I really liked it. Will Smith is one of my all time faves. I'll see anything with him in it. I also really like Jason Bateman and he was his usual funny self too. I liked the story a lot. Decent special effects. Some of the flying scenes were a touch and go there effects wise, but hey, I believed it. It was definitely PG-13. There were a few moments I was sorry my 7 year old was with us. I thought the ending was okay. I was a little worried that she was going to leave her husband and his little boy. I hate when that happens! My kids were already speculating about a sequel. Don't they know how long it takes to make movies? Sheesh!

2117 I love Mos Def and I like Jack Black. I loved bits of this movie, but overall I didn't like it! There were moments that I was ready to turn it off, but I had to see if it got better. There were some laugh out loud scenes, but overall it just wasn't that entertaining. My hubby actually fell asleep about 20 minutes into it. I was pretty disappointed. :(

2117 My kids (12, 10 and 7) all loved this movie. I enjoyed it too. I could have done without the toddler kicking my seat and whining throughout, but that's what I get for going when it first opens. There are many funny lines for all to enjoy. There was quite a bit of kung fu action. I thought it was a bit violent for a cartoon movie, but then again it is a kung fu movie. Jack Black was great, but he wasn't the only one. All the characters had great dialogue.

2117 My vote is none. I don't like his movies either. I watched Match Point and was disappointed I sat through that whole movie. I just don't get him, I guess.

2117 Julia Stiles was in the Bourne movies. Just a small part, but kind of crucial. She was also in the remake of the Omen. I have not seen this because really, the origianl scared the *$ out of me so why watch a updated version where they have way more technology to scare the *&^% out of me. Another movie I saw her in was called Carolina. Good plot, bad acting, bad editing. Not one I'd bother watching again. She was in a movie called A Guy Thing with Jason Lee and Selma Blair. It was cute. It's about a guy who meets the right girl at the wrong time. That's all I can remember.

2117 Mona Lisa Smile - that was the Julia Roberts/Julia Stiles movie. Not one of my faves.

2117 I'm a fan of the Bring It On movies too. Sadly I own all 4 of them. And I'm in no way a teen or a cheer person. I just love the one liners and comebacks. There is a lot of good music in all of them. I watched the first one only because of Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dusku and laughed the whole way through. I think the funniest one is the 4th movie, but they all have their moments.

2117 This is one of my all time favorites. I watch this movie a couple times a year because it's just so fun. Love the part with the drill through his text book. He doesn't say a thing! Just drills a hole through his book! Good times.

2117 I totally agree with you about Deadwood. I wish people spoke like that all the time! Both the good and the bad! I have found that I have read a lot of non-fiction about Deadwood and the people portrayed in this series because of this show. I am almost done with Season 2 on dvd so now I will be doing a marathon to get to the finale!

2117 Star Wars?????? HOW can you not have seen those? I guess growing up with Star Wars has made me a bit obsessed, but I don't know anyone who hasn't seen them! Especially since I assume you've seen the others. How could you not want to know how Anakin becomes Vader?
