20786 I have the perfect one for you! Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series.

Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost
20786 Yeah I'm sure that's what they meant, cause you can definitely delete them off your Kindle. :P I'm actually not sure, I've never thought to ask. I do know if you delete the account you lose all the books so I assume if you delete them off the account it would do the same.
20786 It doesn't matter where you get your books from you can permanently delete them off your kindle. When you hit delete on the kindle it even give you one of those messages that asks you if you're sure you want to "permanently" delete the book off your kindle.

The only reason why I would imagine someone said that they couldn't is that when you download books from your amazon account they stay on your account even if you delete them off your kindle. Which is great because it means that if you delete them off or get a new kindle you can still get the book again without paying for it twice.

20786 Yeah I can see what you guys are saying. I guess if the covers are made for a Kindle they work just fine. Thanks for the suggestions ladies I'll take a look at those brands :)

20786 Hi, I have a question. What kind of covers do you guys have for your kindle? I want to get the original Kindle cover from Amazon but my dad has seen a different one here that he insist would be better (not that he even knows how to use the kindle). I've heard stories of people who had their kindle break in their bags even with a cover so I was just wondering what the best one to buy is.

Well the book I just finished reading now, I don't like the cover and to be honest if it wasn't for the author I would never have looked twice at it, but it turned out to be one of the greatest books ever!
Claiming the Highlander (Brotherhood/MacAllister, #2) by Kinley MacGregor

This cover is the only reason why I went near this series and now it's my favourite. I have read each book in the series at least 3 times and I'm dying to read the next one.
Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #1) by Kristin Cashore

This book I read because of the cover and it turned out to be the WORST book ever!
Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis
20786 I have found many a series based on the cover of one of them. I generally look at a cover and think "wow that looks good" I fully support judging a book by its cover :P But I have found some AMAZING books with crappy covers too :)

20786 I enjoy John Connolly he can be very creepy. Another good one to look at is Dean Koontz, some say he's another Stephen King.

Cool, thanks. :)

I've let mine die twice cos I forgot to charge it. But I prefer to charge it when it's at half or a quarter.

Oh, I don't know if anyone knows yet but you can download the Kindle upgrade off Amazon UK and now it shows you page numbers. Personally I prefer the percentage but I know a few people have been wanting to see the page numbers.

20786 Hey guys, I have another stupid question but I put most my books on my kindle using the USB for my computer as internet speed in SA can be really slow. I usually wait till I need to charge my kindle before I put any new books on so that I don't keep plugging it in for like a few minutes at a time. If I wanted to do that though would it be bad? I really want to read a book I got today but my kindle is still on semi-full, would plugging it in for only a short time be bad for the battery?

20786 Thanks Michelle, no I don't think there is a problem with my usb port (thank God! Cos I don't have a wall charger) I plug in my memory stick and internet modem all the time and don't have problems. I thought that might be the case I just wanted to check :) The problem I've been having with my Mac is when I try and open some programs it freezes my computer but I don't plug in my kindle until it's working properly anyway.

As for leaving it on. I don't..."

Hey Eleanor, I found that when you switch the Kindle off for the first few seconds it has that burn but it seems to flash one last time and the burn is gone, so I think that every time a page changes it removes that burn. Though I have not see a burn with the screen saver, only when I switch it off, there is a burn impression of whatever page I was on when I switched it off, but like I said it disappears almost instantly.

When I plug my kindle into charge with my computer it takes a few seconds for it to start charging, is that normal? It might just be my Mac, I've been having some problems with it lately but I just want to check before I throw my computer against the wall :P

It did bug me a lot at first but it does make sense to me why it uses percentages. Remember that the page you'll be on on your Kindle will be different to the actual book depending on the font size and layout you have chosen.

Thanks Patricia, I didn't turn mine off for the first time last night :) I feel like a drug addict making my first step to recovery :P I must admit tho even with turning it off my Kindle does last almost a month.

Is it bad to over charge the Kindle tho? I see a few of you leave it over night to charge and I'd love to do that as I don't read if it's plugged in to charge (I live in South Africa and we don't have wall chargers so I have to charge it on my computer and it's in another room) But I heard that it's bad to over charge your battery.

Oh wow! Even if I don't read for a day? Thanks I think my days of turning it off are over. :)
