2072 I'm a firm believer in Mandatory Gun control. It should be MANDATORY for everyone to own a GUN and know how to CONTROL it.
But in our typical problem solving stupidity, we want to do the opposite of what will really solve the problem.
I also advocate arming all the airline passengers. When you check in you get a boarding pass and a .38 Just think, if the passengers where armed, there'd have been no 911.

The issue is much broader than what has been dealt with so far in this discussion.
@Madison: Until you get that gun, and learn how it use and care for it, put a sign on your front gate "This house protested by Smith and Wesson". Watch what happens. You may not need one after all.
My issue would deal more with a 'Right'. I am not about to GIVE UP a Constitutional Right without something in exchange. They want my gun, I want their crippling landmines. Want my AK-47? Gimmie your uranium-tipped artillery shells. My 33-extended clip? Ok, Lets talk about that goddamn nuclear arsenal. Until then, get outta my face, 'cause when those mofos blow it all up, you're gonna wish to hell you had every weapon you can get your hands on.
You don't have to own a gun if your don't want to. but DON'T give up your right to own one.
Oh, and BTW, the second amendment does not guarantee your right to own a gun. Read it. It guarantees your right to own any means of defense that the government owns.

2072 Mo info. What's the miracle?

2072 "Let the children cum onto me", is not what JC meant.

2072 Yes, population IS a big problem. Too many of them; not enough of us.
Jan 02, 2011 01:28AM

2072 Of course I have. How can one oppose something if they don't fully know what it is? Like those who don't believe in the Bible, but have never read it.
Nice to hear what a wonderful job you have done, but surely, most GR'ers are well aware of it.

2072 And YOU, Madge, stop being so goddamn bitchy, you old fart. Your ad hominem personal remarks denigrate the value of your diatribes, distracts from the topic, and turns people away from even bothering with trying to keep the dialogue on track. 'Get real', and 'stop being' such a pain in the ass. Maybe then, more people will join the conversation instead of avoiding them whenever they see 'MargeUK' is involved.

2072 ditto Madge.
I live in a Vatican theocracy, so the religious onslaught I have to deal with is a bit more than normal. Somehow, I've been successful. All 5 of 'em seem to see religion as humorous.
I get around the school thing with Home's Cool. It takes less time than most parents spend on helping with homework.

LMAO. I know what you mean, Steven. As much as I hate tic-tac-toe's style, I hate it more knowing I agree with him.

2072 Is this a practical joke? either your mother sending you here of all places is pulling your leg, or you're pulling ours.
2072 It does seem to be hopeless, Stephen. I just finished watching Fahrenheit/911 (youtube search -- worth it), which didn't encourage me to think that the yanks would improve any time soon.
Everybody, keep fighting, we need us.
2072 Why?
2072 ditto

2072 You're talking about the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a state not known for common sense. It's also home of the Int'l headquarters for 'The Flat Earth Society'. Don't laugh, they're serious. In Appalachia, they also have the only race of people with blue skin, the result of over two-centuries of in-breeding. They're 49th in education, and they pay a basketball coach $3mil to get their ass whipped by West Virginia. go figure.
I wouldn't worry too much about that ark getting built. Wait til one of 'em asks, "WTF is a cubit?"
2072 Way to go Canada. I will now delete 'Why can't I own a Canadian' post from my site. :)

2072 It just kinda dawns on you one day that you don't buy this bs, and wonder why you eve did, or did you? then you start making up all kinds of excuses to avoid having to admit that you were really that stupid at one time. "Well, ahh, ya know, I was just a kid. but even back then I had this thing about it, ya know, like the nuns and all, they used to... but I never went along with it, only acted like I did to keep out of trouble. Hell, ya know I got thrown out of catholic school, and ahhh.

2072 I usually comment, The only thing prayer ever does is take the credit. They seldom get it, but that's ok, the seed is planted.

2072 annoying, irritating, and infuriating can be very amusing. Coulter is a master at it.
2072 @rory: The Myth Maker: Paul, and the Invention of Christianity, by Hyam Maccoby

One of the best books I've read on the subject.
