I have made a goal of 100 books, A-Z title and A-
Z author lists inside of the 100 books. I put myself in a very precarious spot as far as reading just to read something I want to read. I kind of dug myself into a hole.
I don't care to read the TWILIGHT series, The Chronicles of Narnia. I have no interest in TWILIGHT (I am sure this makes you really, really love me). It is too popular, and the content doesn't suit me. Also, I have no desire to read The Chronicles of Narnia.(Another popular choice, I am sure). I tried the first one and couldn't even get through one quarter of it, three different times. I have been told by several people that the first one is the best one. I have no desire to read the rest of the first one or any of the others.
I used to loan my books to my friends, but too many never came back to me. I don't lend books to anyone anymore. I gave a friend the book that changed my life, and she never gave it back. I had to get a new one.
I am a library girl, unless they don't have a book. Then, I buy it through the two bookstores in town. I also look online for them.
I am also new to the group. I get almost all of my books from the library also. I'm trying for 100 books this year. I will be happy with 50-75 books also. I always aim high. I'm Randi. I love to read and write. I am looking forward to being in this group this year.
1. Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. I loved it. The banter is hysterical. It is very well-written, and the characters are great. Five stars!!
I like all of the books I have read and finished, especially The Book Thief by Markus Zaduk and Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. There were two that I disliked so much that I didn't even get half way through them. They are Bridge of Sighs by Richard Russo and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen.
The reason that the first entry says 0 is that I couldn't bring myself to finish Northanger Abbey. I am starting Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. I will not put it on the board until I have finished it so that there won't be another mistake like this one.
