2051 #72 Something Blue by Emily Giffin

First book I've finished post baby. Fun and easy to read even in my sleep deprived state!
Sep 29, 2009 01:36PM

2051 Thanks Dini! I have a feeling this might be as far as I get for some time but I'm pretty happy with my number overall!

2051 #71 Grave Surprise by Charlaine Harris

Book #2 in the Harper Connelly series-definitley an enjoyable read. I finished this a few weeks ago (right before having my baby) but haven't been able to update.

2051 #69 All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris

Book 7 in the Sookie Stackhouse series-I think I need a little break from these. They're still good but losing some of their luster.

#70 On Becoming Babywise by Gary Ezzo

Some stuff was helpful, other stuff was just ridiculous!

2051 #67 Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys

Interesting but it bummed me out.

#68 Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

Funny and bizarre.

2051 #66 The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson

I wound up really liking this-definitely couldn't wait to see how it ended.

2051 #65 Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris

#1 in the series-not quite as good as the Sookie books but still entertaining.

2051 #64 Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen

Great story, kind of reminded me of Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman

Fun book to flip through

2051 #61 Choke by Chuck Palahniuk

Twisted but funny.

#62 Dead Babies by Martin Amis

Also twisted but not quite as funny or interesting in my opinion.

2051 #60 The Reader by Bernhard Shlinck

Still deciding how I feel about this one.

2051 #59 Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield

I wish I liked this one more-maybe if I'd read it as a kid.

2051 #58 Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg

Sweet, feel good story.

2051 #56 The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion

Well written but really sad.
Jul 27, 2009 01:52PM

2051 I had a busy week last week and a busy weekend so not much to add here. Did just finish

#55 Marley and Me by John Grogan

I feel like the last person on earth to have read this-definitely sweet story.
Jul 27, 2009 01:51PM

2051 Thanks Cherylann!
Jul 21, 2009 12:23PM

2051 Thanks Cherylann but I'm not so sure! I'm having my second baby in September and don't know how much reading I'll be able to do for those first few months. With my son I think I made it through one book on my maternity leave and it was tiny! Things could be totally different this time around-basically I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best! That's why I at least wanted to get to 50 before the baby and then anything over that is gravy.

2051 #53 Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

Good but sad

#54 Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger

Not great even for a summer read.
