Wow, it's been a long time since I updated this list, and boy do I have a lot of updates. :D24. Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen
- It's a really nice story about accepting yourself. Dessen does it again, giving us real characters that we can all relate too. I liked it. :)
25. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
- I finally finished this one! I liked it enough, but not too much. Did that make sense? It is a beautiful story, but I don't think I liked it as much as other people do. I'm glad I read it though. :)
26. Animorphs #52 The Sacrifice by K.A. Applegate
- Picked this up because it's cheap and I missed reading the series. :P
27. Ex and the Single Girl by Lani Diane Rich
- I am seriously loving Lani Diane Rich. Her characters feel so real that I feel like I know them too. :) This one is not my very favorite one, but I liked it a lot with the Pride and Prejudice references. :D
28. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- My first classic book in the year. It took me quite a time to read this, but I can definitely say I like it. :) Very much! I've been bitten by the Austen bug. :D
29. Time Off for Good Behavior by Lani Diane Rich
- This wasn't as funny as the other Lani Diane Rich books, but I liked it because it had so much spunk. :)
30. Fade by Lisa McMann
- Just like Wake, this had me hooked from start to finish. I liked it a lot, even if the drama between Cabel and Janie were starting to become a bit too much. Haha, but it's a good book. :)
31. City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
- Much awaited! This book is more of a bridge than an actual story. There's the action and the angst, but most of the questions fleshed out in this book wasn't really answered until the next book.
32. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
- Probably one of the best books I've read this year. Awesome, awesome. This is how a series should end!
33. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen (reread)
- I liked this book so much that I just had to re-read it this year. :) It still brought the same chills and the same warm feeling it did when I first read it.
34. Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin
- This was kind of a long read, but I liked how all the characters and the events were fleshed out. It's certainly a breath of fresh air from all the other chick lit I've read.
35. Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
- This one is probably the longest Dessen novel yet. I liked it, but not as much as The Truth About Forever or Just Listen.
36. Demon by Tosca Lee
- Probably another one of the best books I've read this year. This one tells the story of salvation from the point of view of a demon. It's haunting, almost chilling, and I definitely recommend it.
37. Deadly Intent by Camy Tang
- Much thanks for the advanced copy of this book! I liked it a lot -- it's fast paced and it kept me guessing until the end who did it. :D
38. The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis
- Very quick read. Although I liked how the character relationships were fleshed out here, I kind of missed the rush and the historical stuff shown in the first two books.
39. A Little Ray of Sunshine by Lani Diane Rich
- Another good one! I loved the characters, the setting and the lesson. This is such a fun read. :)
40. Sleeping Beauty by Judy Baer
- I loved Judy Baer's The Whitney Chronicles, and I loved this one too! Suze was a lovable protagonist, and I liked how this one touches on her relationship with God without being too preachy. :)
Whew! 10 books to go, 4 classics left! I can't believe it. :)
20. Cindy Ella by Robin Palmer- I liked it! The story is typical, but then again it was based on Cinderella, but it's cute and quirky and all characters were really charming. :)
21. Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
- This isn't like any Sarah Dessen book I've read, and I'd have to agree with what she wrote on her website: it's an issue book. I liked it, but not as much as the other ones.
22. The Fortune Quilt by Lani Diane Rich
- This kind of reminds me of The Undomestic Goddess but less of the British stuff and the spaz. It's a really charming story, and I think Lani Diane Rich will be another one of the authors that I will look out for. :D
23. Geek High by Piper Banks
- It's cute, but after all the geek-related books I've read, I felt like there was really nothing new for me here. It's sort of like Cindy Ella, only Miranda, the protagonist, is way smarter. It's cute, but it's just okay.
17. One False Note by Gordon Korman- Quick read too, although I kind of felt jaded reading this. I liked figuring out the mysteries, though I wish there was more exposure of the Cahill clan. :) It's made me excited to read the next book though.
18. Daring Chloe by Laura Jensen Walker
- It's nice, but it's not really the LJW book I like. The plot didn't captivate me too much.
19. A Most Uncommon Degree of Popularity by Kathleen Gilles Seidel
- It's like a social commentary/mom book rolled into a YA book. I like it. :) I love the entire story and it made me feel like I'm a part of the Alden community. :D
Currently reading an ebook and another book. Wohoo, I'm almost at the 20's. :)
16. The Maze Of Bones by Rick Riordan- Very, very quick read, but mostly because it was really engaging. I loved it, so to speak. :) I'm definitely getting the rest of the series (oooh poor pockets!). And I haven't even played the games online yet!
15. Geek Charming by Robin Palmer- Quick, fun read, something just right after reading the previous book. I finished this in a day and a half! :)

14. Adam by Ted Dekker- This book was disturbing yet really, really good. Just something I'd expect from Ted Dekker. :)
13. Only Uni by Camy Tang- Awesome book, just as awesome as the rest of the Sushi series. I found myself another guy character to really like. :)
And oh wow, I actually managed to finish two books today. And three books over the weekend. :D Wohoo!
12. Invisible Lissa by Natalie Honeycutt- I found this book from my shelf and decided to re-read it again. :) This will always be one of my favorite YA books. :D
11. How to be Single by Liz Tuccillo- I...didn't like it. I'm sorry, I wanted to, but I didn't. The only saving grace of this book was the last page, as in literally the last page, and not because it was ending.
10. Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana by Anne Rice- The second book of the Christ the Lord series does not disappoint. I loved this book, it made me feel that Jesus was a friend more than ever. Proper review here.

Hm, nothing yet as of now. Except that I'm not such a big fan of classics. It's not that I would never read them, but I just have a hard time reading them. Same with historical fiction, fantasy and science fiction. I'm more of a realistic type of girl when it comes to books. :POh wait. Now I know. Haruki Murakami. I know a lot of people like Murakami's books but I'm just not into it. And they're expensive here.
8. Para Kay B by Ricky Lee- Recommended by a friend and about oh, five more people. It's local literature, five different love stories with a very interesting twist. I think I'm going to have to read it again to really absorb it, but it's very good. :)
9. Fast Food Fiction edited by Noelle de Jesus
- A collection of short fiction (not more than 1000 words) by Filipino writers. I didn't like all stories, but some are good on their own. It helps me be motivated for my own short fiction project. :P
Hi! I'm new here too. :) I started the 50 book challenge last year, but I didn't get to 50. This year I'm starting again and I'm really excited to pick up books and read. I still have a LOOOOONG list of to-be-read books, and the list keeps on growing (eep!). I'm trying to curb my book collection by going for ebooks, which is cheaper at times and I can transfer them to my iPod and read even when I'm in the car and it's dark. Which just makes my TBR list longer.
Oh and I am one book lover without a bookshelf yet. Boo.

7. Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr- I'm starting to become a fan of Sara Zarr. This book is simple, yet very beautiful. I think other than being a story of a girl, it's also a story about forgiveness. :) Definitely a great read.
I tried this challenge last year and got to 45. This year, I'm trying it again, and I'm really going to gun for 50 (and more!). I have a more compressed list here of books to read, as well as books on my TBR and To-buy list. :D I'll be posting my comments on the books I read here just to spice things up a bit. :D

1. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
- Liked this book, finished it exactly on New Year's day. Sarah Dessen is becoming one of my favorite authors. :D
2. That Summer by Sarah Dessen
- I thought this book was kind of boring at first, and it didn't exactly have that "Sarah Dessen" note, but the ending was worth it. :) I never had a sister, so it was nice to read about how it feels here.
3. Sweethearts by Sara Zarr
- A surprisingly good book. I thought it would be all angst and sex, but it wasn't. :) Proper review of the book here.
4. Wake by Lisa McMann
- Another surprisingly good book. I liked the premise. The story felt real although there were some things I couldn't really get during the first read, like all the lucid dreaming things. But it's good; I'm sure to pick up the next book.
5. June by Lori Copeland
- Read this one just so I can get it off my reading list. I realized that I'm not really a fan of historical romances.
6. Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
- This is...well, okay. I have mixed feelings about this book. I like the romance part, but I did not like the way it was written. So much angst. More proper review here
