Me, too! I love curling up with a good book and a cup of chai tea. And the winter is best since you can read by the fire!
I don't tend to eat while reading. If its a new book, I don't like dirtying up my pages. And if it's a used book, I get grossed out thinking who all has touched the book before me and will that transfer to my fingers and then food and then my mouth?? So, no eating while reading.
I rarely cry with books. TV is a different story... I cry all the time. The only two books that got me teary-eyed were My Sister's Keeper and The Sweet Far Thing
I think the Borders coupons are pretty good. Especially since you get one every week and they tend to average between 25%-40%. In addition, you also get $$ off of other stores like 1-800 Flowers, Things Remembered, restaurants, etc... And I also like that if you spend a certain amount of money in a time period, they send you Border Bucks (or whatever they are called). I got $5 or $10 around Christmas.
I don't really like the Barnes and Noble one since you have to pay to join.
I've been reading so much lately that I've started going to the library instead of the bookstores. If I can't find it there or if I just really want to own the book, I'll go to Borders or Half-Price Books.
I am currently on my 26th book. But if I finish the summer reading challenge in another GR group, I'll have my 50 by July 31st. We'll see! I read 9 in May so if I keep the same pace, I should do it! :)
25. AngelmonsterThis was a random library pick from The Summer Reading Challenge in another GR group. I wasn't too sure about it when I picked it. However, it was better than expected.
WooooHoooo!!! 25 books! Half way there!!
