Obviously didn't make the 50 in a year...but let's see how long it takes to finish up the challenge.

I actually really enjoyed the book. I had read it early in the spring, and so when everything started in the news I had a hard time believeing all the paparazzi reports and such. I found it very inspiring in many ways, as a mom and as a Christian. Their faith, particularly Kate's faith, was a major focus in the book, much more than it ever is on the show, and that was a real eye opener for me. I thought that the book made her much more "approachable" in many ways. While still unapologetic for behaviours that so many seem offended by, she explained herself and that no one was going to stop her from wanting the best for her kids. I can't fault a mom for wanting the best for her kids. I find it sad that they are divorcing. I am sad for their kids. And while they made the choice to put their family in the spotlight, I think it is a sad commentary on how many people have jumped on the bandwagon to "take them down" so to speak.
Overall, I really enjoyed it as a book for mom's, and for the strength that she showed throughout the challenges of the conception, pregnancy, delivery and first few months of being a parent of not just a child but children who are high risk/high need.
How's that for short and sweet :)
