2033 Anyone have any strong thoughts about the Umbrella Academy? I've heard it compared favorably to Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol run and I'm thinking about picking up the first volume.

2033 I'm definitely more writer-oriented than I used to be. I like Geoff Johns's current work, some Grant Morrison, and I'm reading Superman for the first time in years thanks to James Robinson (although it's not as good as his Starman run). I'm reading The Boys because of Ennis's work on Preacher. I quit Brave and the Bold after the Waid/Perez run and I'm thinking about dropping Booster Gold now that Johns is off the title.

2033 They're full of mean-spirited humor and sarcasm but there isn't a whole lot of action, at least not in the five or six issues I've actually read. I liked them but I could see how they would offend a whole lot of people.

2033 I haven't read the Matt Wagner Trinity series. I'm talking about the Kurt Busiek/Mark Bagley weekly going on now. And Matt Wagner is awesome!

2033 Can someone tell me what's going with John Stewart in Trinity? Specifically, what's with morphing into some kind of robotic thing once per issue or so?

2033 Wolverine's been over-exposed for like 15 years.

2033 No problem with that. With today's special effects capability, Superman could have done more than fly and lift big things. Also, I found Superman to be a little stalkerish. Superman spying on Lois and her family? How creepy and un-Supermanlike was that? And who didn't know that kid was going to turn out to be Superman's?

2033 Definitely Nightwing. I'd like to see DC do more with him. I'm wondering what shape he'll be in after Batman RIP and Final Crisis.

2033 Nite Owl but that might be because I like the Ted Kord Blue Beetle. I wonder how well Watchmen would have been received if they'd used the Charlton characters as originally intended.
