203 What about Black House? I got about 200 pages in and it was focusing on the art hanging on the walls. ahhhh, yeah...

And I must say that Needful Things definitely kicked butt. Be careful what you wish for and what you buy...

203 I still have about 10 of his books I haven't read yet. I don't like spoilers, so I will save that one for last. I'll add it to my to-read shelf though. Thanks for the tip!

203 I have been reading Stephen King for about 20 years. I know that the Dark Tower Series is his life's work. I have found numerous references to aspects of the Dark Tower series in many of his books.

Does anyone have a bread down of these occurrences and connections, or maybe as a group we can add to a list.

For instance I am reading Black House it mentions the "breakers" "Crimson King" "Does it really just start all over again theme" (I'm only on paging 200)

203 I read this a few years ago, but the image of the kids walking hasn't left me. I liked the space left by King for us to fill in, such as the make up of society. That a mother would willing allow her child to participate in this is curious indeed.

When the kids started getting taken off the tension was really good as to how they would get down to the winner.

203 I am about 150 pages in...I have a few books burning a whole on my shelf. That may be why I am impatient with this one. It does seem to be picking up momentum though. I'll stick it out. Thanks for the push! :)

203 After reading the first 100 pages I thought that it could have been condensed into about 20. Don't get me wrong size does not turn me off one bit. I devoured the Dark Tower Series and the Stand.

I appreciate the way he sets up the suspense and builds the characters but he seemed to go over the same thing more than once. Am I the only one?

It seems to be picking up a bit. Does it get better?
203 I would like to be the shop keeper in Needful Things.
