When I just checked it out they drew the new logo for me, no party or cupcakes so it's all for you Karen! How fun! Have a great day!

fine here too! no rain or flooding in my area thankfully.

I have to say I was a little worried with all the hype on the local news - it reminded us of how excited the weathermen get up north when "the snow storm of the century" is coming.

I had to drive about 40 min to Fort Myers today (potential job stuff, fingers crossed!) and was concerned it'd be during a torrential rainstorm...but not a drop!

We have to actually be able to see the hand(s).

19519 1. Member's Choice is Sandi.
Reconstructing Amelia won the poll.

2. Off the Shelf Covers: Hands
In keeping with "giving Sandi a hand for filling in", and the fact that she lent a "hand" for a while here, find a book from your actual or virtual TBR shelf that has one or more hands on the cover. We have to actually be able to see the hand(s)

3. Author Read - Theresa Weir/Anne Frasier
The poll had a tie so I went with this one, not that anybody dropped any hints or anything ;)

19519 hey girls, I'm back and getting organized for September BT.

again, a huge thank you to Sandi for filling in and for posting the current author poll. To thank her, Sandi will be our member's choice for Sept, I will be posting her poll soon.

I couldn't possibly read all the posts I've missed in 2 months - I think there were over 1000! - so I just skimmed the past couple of weeks or so. Looking forward to jumping back in.

Florida is great, getting used to things and finding our way around, husb starts new job in couple of weeks, I'm still job hunting but also enjoying the time off.

19519 OK Ladies, here's the deal (I meant to post this earlier today but got distracted)

I am moving out of state - from NY to Florida (yoohoo Britany, we may need to plan a meetup someday!)
So excited and so much going on!

I can barely keep up with group as it is, and am so grateful that this group basically runs itself throughout the month, keeps tabs on things, lets me know when something needs attention, answers people's questions and is just overall helpful to everyone all the time.

Sandi has always been very active in BT, knows how things run, messages me, and helps keep an eye on things. She graciously accepted my ask to become my right hand woman while I am going through this transition.

I promised her I would make things as easy as possible for her :) so I am going to get our July and August reading and threads set up soon. This might actually be kinda nice because we will have our summer reading outlined way ahead of time.

I will be keeping up with some threads, may pop in occasionally to say hi, but starting in July Sandi will be the go-to moderator. Like I said I will be around, but any responses from me may be more delayed than usual.

Whew!
