19126 Right now I am reading The Case of the Perjured Parrot, a Perry Mason novel by Erle Stanley Gardner. Like most of the Perry Mason novels, it starts out like a PI novel, but I am sure there will be court scene at the end.

19126 I liked it, although I think the characters could have used a little more depth. Also, there is a scene that gives away the ending a little bit.

19126 The different tech from different eras does not bother me, sometimes attitudes from different eras will throw me off a bit. In a Perry Mason book I read his secetary said something like "They can't stay in the same room a the hotel, they aren't married." Everyone in the break room at work wondered why i was laughing.

19126 This was excellent, and I thought he did a very good job writing Lestrade. I hope he writes another one.
