18876 The Story of a Marriage A Novel was an amazing book! It was beautifully written and I never knew what was going to happen -- even though I thought I knew exactly what would happen.

18876 To celebrate the rich and varied literary talent in the Granite State, the New Hampshire Literary Awards include an award for LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT.
This award goes to a major figure in New Hampshire whose contributions to the literary landscape and writing community are particularly outstanding. Past recipients have included Tomie dePaola,and Ruth Doan MacDougall. Who would you choose to recieve this award?

This may be creative nonfiction, biography, memoir, historical nonfiction, or books that focus on travel,education, and other nonfiction subjects. Books first published between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2009 are eligible. What book have you read that you think should be in the running for this award? What makes it outstanding?

stories and may be mainstream or may focus on a particular genre, such as mystery or science fiction. Books first published between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2009 are eligible.

18876 To celebrate the rich and varied literary talent in the Granite state, the New Hampshire Writers' Project will present the ninth New Hampshire Literary Awards at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester on November 14, 2009. These awards recognize achievement in six different areas:

Award for OUTSTANDING CHILDREN'S LITERATURE
Award for OUTSTANDING BOOK OF FICTION
THE DONALD M. MURRAY OUTSTANDING JOURNALISM AWARD
THE JANE KENYON AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING BOOK OF POETRY
Award for OUTSTANDING BOOK OF NONFICTION
Award for LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT

Nomination deadline is July 10th, 2009.

These awards honor New Hampshire writers: to be eligible for an award, nominees must (1) live in New Hampshire or (2) be a New Hampshire native or (3) deal with subject matter that is deemed by the judges to be inherently connected to New Hampshire.
