Hi Kim, I actually just published a childrens healthy lifestyle book. It's titled Oscar and Otis - Fat Fighters. So far it's gotten good reviews. I would love to know what your kids think. thanks

No I am a first time self published author. It just seems like there is so much information...trying to weed through is ridiculous. Searching for outlets for my first work is really difficult but it has been suggested to me to enter or submit the work to various organizations hosting awards. The suggestions are terrific. Thank you so much! Please keep them coming.

Is anyone familiar with any associations that may be accepting applications for new writers to be considered for awards or reviews?

I recently completed my first work addressing childhood obesity & healthy lifestlye issues. The book is titled Oscar & Otis - Fat Fighters selling on Amazon.com. It is an illustrated story of 2 kids trying to help one of their fathers fight obesity. Childhood obesity is becoming an epidemic and as a personal trainer I wanted to do something kids would understand & relate too. Parents don't necessarily seem too be taking the lead on the issue. I would love any feedback on my book or the issue in general. thank you

I recently self published my first children's book Oscar & Otis - Fat Fighters. It's a story of 2 kids, illustrated as cats, trying to help one of their fathers lose weight & fight obesity.
