1865 I'm a Buffy fan. I read online somewhere that they're going to do another movie in the future, but probably not with the same characters.

1865 I have two bookcases with all sorts of genres, I would have more if I had more room in my house. Luckily, I work for a library, so I read a lot, I just can't buy more books. I have mostly paperbacks on my shelves, so I have somewhere around 100 books. I'm not of those people who can get rid of my books, I'm a pack rat! lol

1865 Don't Mess With Earth by Cliff Ball

1865 "Don't Mess With Earth" is about:
Advanced humans, calling themselves Terrans, leave a highly corrupt and mostly primitive Earth to search out a new planet to inhabit. Once on a new planet, they begin exploring the rest of the galaxy and begin watching over their more primitive human cousins back on Earth. Some Terrans are well known in human history, people such as King Arthur, Galileo, Genghis Khan, and Amelia Earhart. The Terrans come across an alien species, called the Ragnor, that experiment on other species for no reason other than that they can. The Ragnor discover Earth by accident and start their abductions and experiments on the first set of humans they come across, the colonists on Roanoke Island. The Ragnor continue to cause mayhem and mischief on Earth, eventually getting shot down over Roswell, New Mexico. Once the humans on Earth figure out they're being manipulated by both sides, President Truman has the United States embark on a plan to pay back both the Terrans and the Ragnor with the technology created by Area 51. Once the plan is initiated, will Earth succeed in its payback or fail gloriously?

1865 I hated the fifteen minutes or so after the prologue. Didn't like the blatant advertisement for Nokia(23rd century? come on!) the fact that a 300 year old Corvette would still be working, and a starship being built on Earth, where's Utopia Planitia? Kirk going from Cadet to Captain, well, half the fleet was destroyed by Nero after all, so why not? LOL Wasn't the universe supposed to explode when Young Spock met Older Spock? That's what Doc Brown always said!

I found this reminiscent of Voyagers' Year of Hell episode, a bit of Wrath of Khan, and Star Wars 4(blowing up a planet). I personally think that Kirk was the only major character whose past was different from Main Timeline A. Spock was serving on the Enterprise with Pike in the original pilot episode, and according to all the books and TV Series, he was picked on as a kid, and rebelled to join Starfleet. Although, Scotty may not have been stuck on Ice Planet in Timeline A, but, who knows? I'm not sure about Uhura, Sulu, or Chekov though. I do think they got all the characters down, I saw Spock instead of Sylar, and his father reminded me a lot of Mark Lenards' Sarek. The guy playing McCoy seems to have really studied DeForest Kelleys' version of McCoy. because he nailed it.

If you think about it, Khan is still out there, Vger, the Probe, the Mirror Universe, etc none of that would have changed, because all of that was put into place way before the Kelvin was destroyed. The only major difference is there is now no planet Vulcan.

1865 Hi everyone. I'm 34 years old, single, 3/4 college student and full time library assistant at the Wichita Falls Library. Currently going to Midwestern State in Wichita Falls for a BA in English. Would like to work as an editor, proofreader, or anything in written communication when I grow up lol.

I've been writing off and on since I was 10, and have enjoyed reading since I was 5. Had a short story published through my high school creative writing class back in 1992. Have some poetry, articles, and some short stories posted on Helium.com. Recently decided to self-publish a novella called Out of Time through Iunivere.com, which I probably should've done a little more research on what self-publisher to use. Anyway, it's a time travel/alternate history story that I nitpicked to death for more than 5 years and then decided last year I needed to get into the outside world. You can find info on it at my website, http://www.cliffball.com, or you can buy it at: http://www.amazon.com/Out-Time-Cliff-Bal...

I've read most of the alternate history novels of Harry Turtledove, some by Eric Flint, and S.M. Stirling. I'm a Trek fan and have read lots of those novels. Have read H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and Isaac Asimov.
