My public library is great (Rancho Penasquitos branch of the San Diego Library), and my favorite bookstore is Borders. My idea of a home library is a huge room with bookshelves to the ceiling, a fireplace with two large windows on each side, an Ott-Lite and a huge comfy chair.

My mother used to read stories and poems to me as a child, but I never really began reading for myself until I was about 12. I began with Edgar Allan Poe, then H.G. Welles. I just kept going and if I am not reading a book (when not at my job, running errands, or cooking - and even then I resent it), I feel naked!
