First impression a mother would have: "You look like you've been through hell!"
First impression a father would have: "You look like shit"
First impression a store attendant would have: "Mind your shoes, son! You're getting my floor dirty. Besides, I don't think you can afford anything here."

How would they respond to:
Do you have a light? "Does it look like it?"
What time is it? He looks up at the sun, "Just past noon."
"Get out of my way, I am late!" He gets a good look at their face. He never forgets a face.
Getting cut off in traffic? "Traffic? I haven't seen another person in 11 years."
Being arrested? "Hahahaha. Please! It beats being banished for life."
Getting a cold meal at a restaurant? "It's delicious! Anything's better than dead grass and tree bark. Well....almost anything," his eyes shift away, a terrible memory returning.
Being invited to go camping? "Uh, no thanks. I've had enough of the outdoors for seven lifetimes."

18009 Are we able to pick books that were nominated the last time around but were not picked? If so, then my vote is for The Warded Man

18009 I'm good with any of those. I have either read them or they are sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. If I were to put a vote in, it would be for Weeks though.

18009 Hey Jason. Read Mistborn last month and it was a great book. Also read The Blade Itself awhile back and yes it is part of a trilogy. Both were excellent books. I'm currently finishing up The Hero of Ages (the last of the Mistborn trilogy).
