That sounds great! I can't wait to start another one of your books - I absolutely loved A Northern Light!
If you have time for another question, I was wondering if you are currently working on a new book? If so, can you give us any details?
Thanks for the input! I think I will hold off for a while but, since I love Anne's character so much, I know I'll return to the series some day.
Thanks, Allison! I think I will wait to read the others then, but I will most likely get to them eventually. Anne is such a lovely character!
So, I'm wondering if most of you have continued on and have read the sequels. I really loved the first and read the second and third books shortly thereafter. I enjoyed both of these sequels very much, but I feel satisfied with the ending of Anne of the Island (it was just what I was waiting for) and I don't feel a pressing need to read the rest of the books any time soon. Do you recommend continuing? Have any of you stopped in the middle of the series?
I haven't been able to spend much time on GR lately, or read for that matter. I'd planned on reading other books for the challenge, but have worked some of the books I've read but haven't counted into the challenge. Here is my update:
25.1 Shadowland (fantasy) - 256 pages, Chasing Vermeer (mystery) - 272, & Anne of the Island (classic) - 243 (Contributing to Anne of Green Gables thread. I liked this book just a bit more than Shadowland, but I didn't enjoy Chasing Vermeer at all)
25.4 Enna Burning - 317 & River Secrets - 304
5.2 Anne of Avonlea - 276

Linda - I've been wondering what Austen fans thought of P&P&Z. I love the original and I'm not sure how interested I am in reading it with the addition of zombies, but I'm open to checking out some reviews. Maybe it's better than it sounds?!
I finally finished another task:
20.4 - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (309 pages) - daughter born in 1997
Total Points: 135
Total Pages: 2600

I thought this series was really great. What a fun take on mythology!
I finished Anne of the Island last night and I'm still listening to I am the Messenger (I'm not loving it like I thought I would, but it's okay). I think I may start my re-read of HP tonight.

I actually thought it would be Luke, from when he decided to give Percy the flying shoes.

I'm starting Anne of the Island tonight and I've also been listening to the audio version of I Am the Messenger.
