I'm curious if anyone has disliked the book thus far. I just finished the second book and really can't get into the series. Everything just feels so poorly executed and a missed opportunity. I hate being the mr. negative, but the positive response for the book has surprised me thus far. Always interesting to see how opinions can differ.

Are there actually any books in YA that aren't fantasy? I know there are a couple, but browsing the shelves at my local bookstore, it seems like 9/10 are fantasy.

I actually thought the first book was ok. I have now read the first book three times, the second twice, and the third once, and I must say, a small piece of me dies each time I finish one of these books. I truly now believe that these are the worst books I have ever read. Sadly, when the fourth book comes around, I'll probably still give it a try. I've invested this much time in the series and it can't possibly get any worse...can it?
