I can't wait to read Shiver! Unfortunately, the waiting list at my library must be really long because the estimated wait time is "undetermined". LOL That's never good...It was only about $10 on B&N's website, so I may go ahead and just buy it. It sounds like a good one!
This sounds like a fun series! I think I'll try and get my hands on the first one for my 8 yr old and I to read together come October.
I actually like getting a message saying when the polls are open. I never seem to remember when nominations end, so it helps me to know when to go and vote. I think it's helpful - not spam-ish.
We went and saw HP today and loved it!!! Probably our favorite movie of the series so far. That trailer for Where the Wild Things Are looked really good! Definitely going to see that one. We didn't get any Percy Jackson teaser, though :(
Linda Grace, I'm so happy to hear it wasn't anything too serious! Natalee is right...there are some really cool glasses out there now a days...I bet you can find a real trendy pair that you love. Have fun with it :)
I finished I Am the Messenger the other day. LOVED it!!! If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. Thank you Laura for the push on that one :)
Great book choices for July! I haven't read either one yet, but they have both been on the old TBR for awhile now. Now I have no excuse to not read them since they are the group reads :)I can't wait to finally see what all the fuss is about with Book Thief! It seems to be a really special type of book and a favorite of so many.
How are you liking Book Thief, Kristen? So many people seem to absolutely love that book! I don't think I've ever heard anything negative about it, at least not that I can remember. I'm going to be starting here real soon.
So, I guess I'm not the only one after all...LOL!Laura had recommended that I read Messenger before Book Thief, so I've been holding off. I've been on the waiting list for Messenger at the library and it finally came in for me the other day! Once I finish it, I'm moving right on to Book Thief. It seems to be a favorite of so many people....I can't wait to see what it's like!
Kristen wrote: "Heather, I don't think Graceling has been nominated yet. :)"I thought I was losing my mind when I read this because I could have sworn you nominated it! I had to go back and look, then saw you edited ;)
Kristen, you're awesome! Thanks :)Category 1 - Graceling by Kristin Cashore
I'm currently reading it and it's really, really good!
Haha! I had three different books in mind to nominate and every one of them has already been named! (Graceling, I Am the Messenger, Book Thief) I guess I'll just hold out for the vote, then. The hard part will be deciding which one to vote for!I feel like I must be the only one left who hasn't read Book Thief yet...
Jess wrote: "About 150 pages into New Moon...I like it so far, but it makes me sad that Edward's gone :( "Jess, I envy you reading this series for the first time! I discovered it last summer and was completely obsessed with it. I found myself speed reading through New Moon because I was dying to find out what was going to happen...it was torture!
Are you completely addicted at this point, or just mildly enjoying them?
I don't have any points to report, but I wanted to say big "congrats" to Amanda on being the first one to finish the challenge! Way to go, Amanda!
Thanks, Beth :)I've read the first three chapters and am finding it a bit slow. Hopefully the pace will start to pick up and the story begin to draw me in here before too long!
