17941 I really loved this book, and I ma the excellent choice to get it on audio. It's awesome to hear Gansey and everyone. I've both loved and hated series by Maggie Stiefvater, and I'm happy this falls into the former group!

17941 I read this book long enough ago that I don't remember many specifics, but I do know that I liked it.

Reading your comments though, Celeste, I definitely see your points. Especially your second spoiler.

I guess that any discussion or dialog about hate crimes, and drug abuse for that matter, is a good thing.

17941 Wow, that looks like fun!

Maybe this for a Newbery section?

1. Read a Newbery Medal or Honor book from 1922-1949
2. Read a Newbery Medal or Honor book from 1950-1969
3. Read a Newbery Medal or Honor book from 1970-1989
4. Read a Newbery Medal or Honor book from 1990-2009
5. Read a Newbery Medal or Honor book from 2010-2014

Sorry for the confusion! I wanted this to be a low pressure ongoing type challenge. There's no point system for this one.

I think that most people are using this as a reading plan thread. That's what I did. I basically started out in the beginning with books listed for all 50 states (or most of them), and as I completed the reading, I edited my post and struck through the state so I knew that it was finished. If you look at my post right next to my name it says "last edited on December 12, 2013", which is the day I finished the challenge. (Yep, 50 states in just 8 months - pretty proud of that!)

But feel free to look through people's lists, some do have books listed that they have read or intend to read. You can write you reading plan here, or as you complete a state write it in a new post. However you want!

I also spent a hefty amount of time compiling lists of books for each state. You can find the different states divided up by letter here:

17941 Agreed, this would be a good challenge to allow for rereads. Maybe opinions will be swayed by discussing the books :)

17941 That sounds like fun! There are always so many good books that we nominate each month that I can never keep up with.

And I especially like the reviving of old threads :)
