17216 I finished this book, and I didn't love it but I also didn't hate it.

the main characters at some points irritated me and their relationship was too forced at some points. The sex scenes were not really that interesting in my opinion. But I did like the story line. I'm hoping that the next book is a little better. Sometimes the first books in a series aren't as good as the later books.

17216 I usually tend to hate movies that were made from books. The only Harry Potter movie I enjoyed was the first one, and after that I felt like so much was left out that the story became distorted.

If I haven't read the book and a movie comes out, I will usually try to read the book before I see the movie. Even though I tend to compare the book vs. the movie as I'm watching the movie, I've tried to stop doing that!

17216 I've already read Darkfever, so if you do read Wicked Lovely I would read that

17216 Her newest book taken by sin, is coming out in the summer I think.

17216 There is some world building going on. But I actually just liked the second better because of the characters. I found the characters in the second book a little more compelling.

YZ - I just read the first book in her Riding series, and I thought it was a little bit better than the demon series. Another series I have to finish :)

17216 I just finished Black Rose, the second in Nora Roberts In Garden trilogy. I'm also reading: Nauti Boy which is the first book in a trilogy. It's okay, I'm not that thrilled with it so far.

I am also reading The Secret Life of Bees. A little break from the PNR and romance genre. But it's a little depressing so far lol.

17216 I have this on my list to read, it might win for my group's May BOM poll, so I'll probably read it next month. I'm excited!!

17216 I have it on my TBR, that's about all I know of it so far. Someone probably recommended it to me. But if you read it first let me know :)

17216 Yeah I pretty much hated this series. The first book was the best, and then I don't know what happened. It was like a train wreck that I had to see through just to see where it ended. I didn't even read the second book. And the 4th book I pretty much skimmed the entire thing to read the ending. Not my favorite series.

But others have liked it, so I don't know.

17216 I have no idea lol. I haven't read that much by Nora. I read the sign of seven trilogy which was a little paranormal, and there's another that starts with Morrigan's cross thats sort of paranormal and historical. Otherwise I'm not sure. Maybe on her website she details which are which?

I have her novel Tribute, but I have no idea if it's even part of a series lol. I just picked it up because I saw a lot of people talking about it being good.

17216 I just got the first in the wild series.. I forgot the name of it though. Something about an art thief and a cop. I'll probably start reading it tonight.

Yeah the first book in the PNR series was a bit slow, I really enjoyed the second and third one.

I don't know what it is, but the first books in series always seem to suck in comparison to the others lol. Or maybe I'm just crazy!

17216 I just finished the darkest touch, and now I'm moving on to either Passion Unleashed or Tribute by Nora Roberts. I haven't decided yet which one. Oh and I also have The Man with the Golden Torc by Simon Green which I've heard interesting things about.

17216 I tried to think of a series that not many people know about, because I know many of us are in a variety of groups that talk about similar books.

So I came up with Jaci Burton's Demon Hunter series.

Here's the order:
Surviving Demon Island
Hunting the Demon
The Darkest Touch

Coming out in later this year:
Taken by Sin

I just finished the Darkest touch, and it was pretty good. I like this series because I haven't read many books with demons in it. SO it's a little bit different from all the other PNR's out there. And it also has demon hunters. Which is interesting. Then some of the demon hunters are actually half demons. The storyline has gotten more complex asthe books have moved on and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series :)

17216 Hi everyone! I'm Jess, as I'm sure many of you already know me lol.

Let me see now.. my favorite series. I believe that it has to be Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters. It was my first introduction into paranormal romance, and it's the series that I can constantly re-read and never get tired of.

I have so many other series that I love, but I think that is what I will call my "favorite" lol.

Facorite palce to read... hmmm... I guess curled up in my living room where there is the comfy couch. I ball myself up and read tehre. I also can get comfortable reading on my bed, the only problem is if I'm reading later at night I tend to fall asleep like that.

Hobbies: Besides reading lol, I love playing tennis. There are a few courts around me where I play against my bf. I enjoy running - but I haven't been able to do that as much because of so much school work. I'm finishing up my masters in teaching right now. So I've been a little busy.

Something unique about me - I'm not that unique lol. I guess something that people on this site wouldn't know about me is that I can be quite messy? I'm pretty OCD when it comes to my books and my bookshelves, but other than that I pretty much throw stuff around lol. I'll try to think of something more interesting than that, but it's all I've got right now.
