17216 Welcome Karly!

I would love to have a tree house to read in - especially as a kid. I can already picture the "No Brothers Allowed" sign I would've had.

HA! I'm taking it you're not feeling too impressed.

That series is one of those I like while I'm reading it but as it sits I like it less and less. I've been hesitant to start Tempted but will get to it soon.

Does anyone know how many books will be in the House of Night series?

17216 I didn't recognize the name of the author so I looked her up. Her book Soulless is on the top of my To Read list when I can get the book from the library. I had it on hold but wasn't able to get there so now I'm back to the back of the line :(

It's good to hear that it's good! Makes me hope the wait is worth it.

What were your favorite things about Soulless??

17216 I really enjoyed this book as well. A fast and fun read that had me laughing out loud at all the hillarity! So many crazy things from zombie cows to possessed magic 8 balls. Too much fun.

17216 HA! That was great. I'll never look at an 8 Ball the same :)

17216 Welcome to the group Kim! 6 books a week is amazing.

17216 hee hee - the zombie cows were pretty funny. I would've never even thought of creating something like that.

I think one of my favorite lines (or at least one that stuck with me the most) was when Duke and Earl first met Lorretta. Their description was hilarious and then "she scratched her chins" I was busting up! Lorretta kept me laughing a lot throughout the book.

Another funny part was when Earl was explaining how sometimes when there was something big going on in the world he couldn't sleep. Let's see there was an earthquake in Mexico that kept him awake for 10 seconds and when they cancled the TV show, The Green Hornet, he was awake for 15 minutes. HA!

HA! I must be doing something wrong. I feel like I'm always saying my life will get back to normal when fill in the blank! One day I hope to achieve "normal" status again. :)

I've been recommending it to everyone! It was really good, I think you'll like it Levi.

Kat, you're in good company. We have a lot of people that read several books at once here! I haven't read any of the ones you're reading right now. Which one is your fav of the four?

17216 One of the funniest things about Gil's All Fright Diner for me is seeing it shelved on people's HORROR and HUMOR shelves. Those two don't seem to go together well but they did in this case.

What are some of the most memorable or funniest moments in the book for you?

17216 This is we're doing instead of a No Spoilers thread.

Did you love the book and think everyone and their dog should read it? Here's your opportunity to convince all the members of the group that haven't read it to take the plunge.

Also, feel free to share why people should stay away from this book if that is your opinion.

We would also love to see a link to your review posted here. I've had some trouble in the past posting my reviews so here's the quick and easy way to do it: On the book's page you'll see your own review but people who aren't friends don't see it easily. Click on the the link directly below your review to see the comments even if there aren't any. Once the page opens copy the URL and post it here.

Please avoid spoilers in this thread to protect the storyline for those that are convinced to read it :) Also, if you post your review and it contains spoilers let us know in your post so those who want to avoid spoilers can.

Here's your chance.... Sell Gil's All Fright Diner to all our members!

17216 I finished The Hunger Games a couple days ago and LOVED it!

Since then I haven't been having the best luck in choosing books.

Started Silk and was bored. Started The Lies of Locke Lamora & it wasn't what I was expecting at all - a VERY slow book. Started Frankenstein on audiobook from Librovox but the narrator changed on each track and I found it so hard to keep up with the changing narrators that I decided I'll just read it.

Yuck! I haven't put aside that many books in a long time and for it all to happen in the space of a few days was kind of dis-heartening. What's a girl to do!?! GO BUY A NEW RELEASE!!! I bought Magic in the Shadows which is sure to be a hit.

Also am starting Fighting to Survive & The Well of Ascension. All three are going to be great reads.

17216 That's really good information Rosalia! There have been several books (not too many - my library is pretty good) that I've wanted that they don't have. I'm going to have to visit my library soon and see if they'll buy some books! :)

17216 Sometimes it's a mood thing when not liking a book. I've started several books & not gotten very far but later really enjoyed them.

17216 I'm starting a scrapbooking company where I'll do other people's scrapbooks for them digitally. I LOVE digi-scrapping and have been approached by several people to do their books so I figured I'd go all the way & see where it takes me.

I didn't know it was the end until I searched out info for Season 6 DVD release dates! It was kinda a non-ending. There's nothing really resolved within the Pegusis Galaxy. They claim it was budget cuts that forced them to end the show so I'm wondering if the series finally wasn't a little rushed from the writters. I'm curious why there's a new spin-off though if it really was budget cuts.

I also read that there will be an Atlantis movie coming out.
