Thanks again for posting all these exciting lists, Gail! Sara Donati in January - Yay!! Now, if only I could remember how the last one ended.

I think I "sold" another one this weekend - did a hands-on demo with a friend and he's probably ordering it today! He has 3 or 4 BFBs he wants to read soon, but didn't want to carry heavy tomes around. The portability and font preferences cinched the deal!
I read and enjoyed The White Queen. Ms. Gregory admits to fictionalizing a great deal of what is written since much of the period's history was not written (as compared to Tudor times), and so the book can be enjoyed for what it is - a great story of court intrigue, romance and manipulations.

I hadn't heard of A Separate Country until your review here. The reviews on Amazon are equally positive, with many mentions of the beautiful language as well as interesting story. I'll have to add it to my TBR list which is already too long (lol).
Good to hear that you liked Under the Dome. I expect to start it at the end of the month. It will probably take me another whole month to finish it!

Who doesn't love Harry?
Carol - my DH and I got each got a kindle 1 almost 2 years ago (warranty not offered at that time). Mine has been perfect, but DH started having some issues after about 15 months. His "back" button stopped working. Still readable but would drive me crazy. Bottom line, I would get the warranty and have peace of mind.

I'm hoping to read The Man Who Loved Books Too Much sometime soon also. You really did have a different kind of month.
Susie in KS wrote: "Keep it up guys...I may put a Kindle back on my wish list ;)"With so many new e-reader choices, I'm hoping prices will come down soon. I'm a big fan of the kindle and would like to gift my daughters, but not at present price levels.

I love the name "kitchen table books" - very apt.
I too am seeing many fewer copies of library books in circulation. I hope when the economy improves libraries get restored funds.
I listened to 2 or 3 of the series on audio and I loved the reader, Davina Porter. Now, when I read the words I hear her voice in my head.
It's been only a month since I finished An Echo In the Bone and I've already forgotten all the loose ends which disturbed me so. Heaven only knows if I'll remember anything for the next book.
I also tried to hold King's new book since I'm really looking forward to reading it, but my hands were not happy. I'm resigned to waiting 'til the 24th for my kindle download.
I had been considering reading The Story of Edgar Sawtelle but your review helped me decide that I really don't want to do depressing right now. More and more I use reading time to just escape.
Susie, my library wait time for Nine Dragons was huge. I finally gave in and downloaded it to my kindle - totally worth it.
Brian Freeman was unknown to me until someone here(was it you Barry?) highly recommended him. I'm so glad you did!
