Well it's been in pre-production for a while now. This means if they cannot find a studio to pick it up, it won't be made.

It is fantastic. In my top 2 favorites of all time!

The books are super funny, I think the movie will be pretty good.
I'm just outside of chicago. How funny, I've never heard of it. That'd be great to see. I saw the movie yesterday. There was an unbearably rowdy group of girls in Cloudy/Meatballs so we ended up in Whip it. It's was good. I think the book would be even better.

Really??? OMG that's amazing. I know that it's a famous story in Japan and there have been many different stories written so I was suprised something hasn't been made yet. Excellent!
Into the Wild
Now that I see the cover I do remember seeing them around. It sounds amazing! I'm putting it on my list.
The illustrations in the book were amazing! They could scare the crap out of most adults. I was a little discouraged that the film wasn't going to be a classic animation movie (how sick would that have been?!) But the 3D animation didn't let me down.
silverstream wrote: "Well, in the movie they left out the exetremly freaky part that ggave me nightmares
the part where the other mother sends coraline to her room, (she says thats where one of the marble things were...."
Def! I forgot about that part. I wish they would have left it.
silverstream wrote: "I know! I think they did a great job turning the book into a film, they left out the extremly scary parts so kids could see it, and they also made many dark parts funny."
I still thought it was scary though, enough so that kids will lose some sleep ;]

Oh MAN do kids adore those books or what?!

Exactly!
Chris wrote: "I was trying to be funny, but when viewing them go into it acting like you've never read the book. For instance Die Hard 2 was adapted from the 1987 novel 58 Minutes, by Walter Wager. A book I read..."
Ahhh I gotchya. Yea, most people don't realize how many films are based upon books.
silverstream wrote: "no, there was not a wybie in the book coraline."
Wow! I didn't think so. He fit into the story beautifully.
silverstream wrote: "i think i am just going to see the 2end half of deathly hallows, unless its rated R. i just could not stand to see georges ear decapataited! or hedwing die."
I doubt any of those things would make it rated R.
