1545 Oh, I so enjoy Karen Kingsbury!

Ted Dekker scares me nearly to death!

Good writers, both.

1545 I just finished Rebecca Seitz' book, "Prints Charming". It was a very enjoyable read, as 4 women had supportive friendship over a shared interest in scrapbooking, and helped each other deal with the things going on in their family lives. I like a happy ending, and this one definitely fit the bill.

1545 Laura -- the other book just came to mind! It's a suspense/fiction called "Fated Genes" by Harry Kraus, M.D.

1545 Laura, there is a book that is the third in a series about a detective . . . I'm reading the first and like it and plan to read all 3 in the series. The description of the third book came to mind when I saw your post, so here's a copy/paste from christianbook.com. The name of the book is "The Void", and it is by Mark Mynheir.

"Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent Robbie Sanchez devotes her life to crime prevention, and it shows: She has no personal life and doesn't know the meaning of a day off. After all, someone has to be around to clean up the mess crime leaves behind. So when Officer Brad Worthington is brutally murdered, Agent Sanchez is called to the scene along with Brad's best friend, Detective Eric Casey. The two turn to Lifetex, the genetics lab near the scene, hoping their elaborate security system might have captured the crime outside. But what is going on inside the lab is far worse: a renegade scientist is cloning humans! As Robbie and Eric pursue clues---and a growing attraction---they are caught in a deadly battle as the clones begin to act on their own volition. But this battle threatens to claim more than human life; the clones are vying for human souls."

There's another one in the back of my mind, too -- if/when it surfaces I'll post again!

1545 Kristy, I've read several of Dee Henderson's books and really enjoyed them.

Right now, I'm reading "And the Shofar Blew" by Francine Rivers, the first time I've read anything by her.

1545 Just wanted to stop by and tell you about a book I just read. It's truly outstanding! It's by Don Locke, published by NavPress in 2007, titled "The Reluctant Journey of David Connors". It was a unique story, very engaging and fun to read. I highly recommend this one!

1545 The only one I've read was one he co-wrote with Frank Peretti, called "House". That one was a bit too much for me on the creepy-and-oh-my-goodness- gross scale.

1545 I just finished reading "A Covington Christmas" by Joan Medlicott. It was a quick and enjoyable read, especially for this time of year. Next up is "Home to Holly Springs" by Jan Karon.

What are you all reading this December?

1545 Amy, I've not read the Redemption Series, but I have read a couple of books by Karen Kingsbury and enjoyed them. What are the titles in the series? How highly do you recommend them?
