Although it is in a futuristic society, certain things don't seem so far away. Like manufacturing babies. (which I really hope never happens. I'm counting on people keeping their morals.)"

The manufacturing babies thing can also be seen in the movie Gattaca (not a book, but still interesting).

15282 Alright, so there's this author, Maureen Johnson. You may have heard of her (13 Little Blue Envelopes, Scarlett Fever, and the topic of the discussion, The Bermudaz Triangle).

Well, there are a couple of mom's in Florida who want one of her books, The Bermudaz Triangle, moved to the adult section of the library. Now, I haven't read it, but I trust Maureen to an extent, and she explain's what their talking about here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8aLRBhNU...

I also have a Blog post about what I think here: http://ninjafanpire.blogspot.com/2009/06...

Well, from what I've heard, it really doesn't sound that bad, the book. I mean, I don't really know about the Gossip Girl one, but from what Maureen has said about The Bermudaz Triangle, it sounds like the librarians made a good decision leaving it in the YA section.

If you want to know more of my opinion, simply check the Blog post.

Support Maureen Johnson please!

15282 I did it but it looked kind of dumb the way I made it. I don't know if anyone asked about it though....I think maybe a relative did.

15282 Hm that interesting, never watched Xena though.

15282 Maybe we won't even read or need books in Heaven. But like I've been saying, nobody really know exactly what it'll be like.

15282 So wait, is the story on the site or not?

So I won't be me in heaven, I'll be someone else with different opinions and thoughts and desires. Boy, that sounds like a lot of fun.

If God can make me not want to do bad things, why doesn't he just do it now? Why wait until I'm dead? You're going to say, "Because he gives you free will," but what's the point of free will if he's just going to take it away in heaven? And this lack of free will is what makes heaven better than Earth? So, is free will a gift or a curse?"

No, I think you'll still have free will in Heaven. But your desires might change. But I mean, I can't know for sure what is going to happen once we get there. But we'll be happy.

Sorry, it was the post right before Lauren's and I thought you might have started more at the top of the current page.

15282 But a person can post a comment that debates something and also has an insult.

Yes, true, and I agree.

Is there a good singles scene there? What's the male:female ratio like? What if you're gay? Can a gay person get into heaven at all, and, if so, can they have sex?

I said I don't know what Heaven will be like. Who knows, there could be sex and marriage in Heaven. But I think that once you get to Heaven, you won't want to do things that are wrong. I'm not saying sex or marriage are wrong, but you wouldn't want to cheat on whoever you were having sex with. You're desires would change to those that could only be pure. Gay people CAN get into Heaven, but if someone is gay/lesbian and they believe in God, then they know that it's against the Bible. If they struggle with it but try to change, God knows what is truly in their heart when they die. If they really believe in God and the Bible then they know that homosexuality is wrong.

Well, this works for obvious problems like having no legs, etc. But what about the little quirks that make you who you are? The gap between my teeth, will that be "fixed" in heaven? My attention to detail and organization that borders on OCD but isn't really debilitating, will that be "fixed"? If everything about me that's non-standard is corrected in heaven, don't I cease to be me? Don't we all just become facsimiles of each other then?"

Well, I don't even know if we will have human bodies in Heaven. We may be some kind of soul-spirit, but I honestly do not know. I don't know how unique we will be or if our appearances will change.

15282 Well it's an organization that helps troubled teens like those who are suicidal or cut themselves, etc. They have a website: http://www.twloha.com/ . If you've ever gone to Hot Topic, they sell TWLOHA shirts there. One of the slogans is "Love is the movement." There's this really cool thing they do once or twice a year, but you can do it whenever you want. What you do is on a certain day (or as I said, whenever) write the word love on your arm to help spread the word about TWLOHA.

Are you deliberately just not reading my posts? That is answered in complete detail up above, and Lauren's observation contained the answer as well. Or do you want an answer involving entropy and the arrow of experiential time?

You know, all of your questions of this sort would be answered if you just learned some calculus and took some physics courses..."

Um, did you not read my post?

Hey, sorry I've been gone for a bit people! If anybody had any really important questions they wanted me to answer please state them again. There are a ton of comments now and it'd be time consuming to try and go through them all.
