Her Chandler Brothers series is pretty popular. It was one of those books that really put her on the map romance writer wise (because Kelly Ripa picked it as a read for her book club or something).I liked the first 2 books in her Lucky trilogy, the 3rd was so-so.
I posted this over at the RSL group, but I'll add it here...Robyn has a new newsletter up on her site with great news about the VR series:
September News from Robyn Carr
I realize you don’t get newsletters from me as often as you should. There are two significant reasons. First — I don’t want to waste your time reporting that I walked the dog, went on a family holiday or gained ten pounds. The second reason is more important — I have a million books to write! And I’ve been working at it — I promise. Based on the number of daily letters I get (and thank you! and keep ‘em coming!) you want to get back to Virgin River!
The community of Virgin River has become much loved by readers, and no one is more grateful than I am. MIRA Books, my publishing company, is also pleased and, after the 2009 Virgin River series spent twelve straight weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List, they wasted no time in planning for more. This thrills me — personally and because I know it’s important to you.
For the next three years, beginning in 2010, every January, February and March, we will release three new Virgin River novels. In addition to that, there will be novellas published that will take place in Virgin River or nearby but don’t have to be read in any sequence; stories that will include your friends but not a part of the ongoing story. The first novella is to be released in September in a story titled "Under the Christmas Tree" in a special Christmas anthology — THAT HOLIDAY FEELING also containing holiday novellas by Debbie Macomber and Sherryl Woods.
But there’s more. Over the next couple of years, there will also be two mainstream novels — what I prefer to call women’s fiction or “girlfriend books,” that are along the line of THE HOUSE ON OLIVE STREET. There is whispering of THE HOUSE ON OLIVE STREET being reissued and I’m crossing my fingers — the complexity of women’s lives and their relationships with their men and each other has always been a passion of mine. And writing stories with ensemble casts of characters is enormous fun.
Next month I’ll put the covers and opening chapters for the 2010 Virgin River novels — FORBIDDEN FALLS, ANGEL’S PEAK and MOONLIGHT ROAD — on my website. For now — the cover of the Christmas anthology will go up, which will be available September 29. I hope you enjoy it — it’s a happy story, filled with love and laughter and a couple of characters who will pop up in future Virgin River novels from time to time.
This has been such a rewarding journey, and so much of it has been because you let me know what characters have inspired you, and helped you with your own issues, and which characters you want to see more often. Of course I can’t fulfill every wish you send my way, but rest assured, I read and consider every one. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Please watch my website for new books, covers and excerpts, and check out the appearances page to see if I’ll be in your neighborhood. I’d love to meet you.
With love and gratitude,
Robyn

There was originally one VR trilogy, but I guess because of the popularity and whatnot, the author decided to keep going. So since then there has been the first VR Christmas book, then a second trilogy, and upcoming is a Christmas novella in an anthology book, and a third trilogy coming out next year. They are technically all one big series, but the majority of the books have been released in sets of trilogies.
Uniquely Moi wrote: "I'm going through the Virgin River series and I have a question if anyone can answer. I just finished VR Christmas, and I felt like Ian and Marcie's story didn't really have the definite resolutio..."They didn't appear in the most recent trilogy, but I think someone told me that was because VR Christmas was written AFTER the 2nd trilogy so that's why they didn't appear there. But that they may make an appearance in the 3rd trilogy (or maybe it was the upcoming new VR Christmas book...)
I just got Coming Up Roses on PBS recently (had it wishlisted for like a year), which was the last book of hers I needed (other than one of her HQ Intrigue books). I found Cheyenne Amber at a Goodwill store last summer...it's a bit beat up and looks like it got wet at some point, but it's still readable. But it's great they are getting re-released. Some of those books are going for like $100 used online.
This is more related to Anderson's historicals, but I'll post it here anyway. For those of you who are big fans of hers and have been trying to read all her books but couldn't find some, Anderson posted good news on her website recently.
The rights to the last three of her very hard to find, out of print books have been purchased by her current publisher for re-release. No dates known yet, but if you've been wanting to read Comanche Magic, Cheyenne Amber, or Coming Up Roses, you'll be able to buy them new sometime in the next couple years. (I say years because we all know how long it has been taking to re-release the first 3 Comanche books...).
My fav of that series is Rough, Raw and Ready.I still need to read the newest one, but I haven't had time for ebook reading lately.
Another one I see more often than you'd think possible is:"I resemble that"
when meaning:
"I resent that"
Now that I'm reading Hot Property (which is pretty good so far), I'll have caught up on all her recent stuff. I still have the 3 of the Simply books to read, though...I read 1 before, and still need to get one more.I enjoy her books, though. Can't say I've absolutely loved them, but they are usually 4-stars.
Carly Phillips writes some great lighter, sexy, often amusing contemporary romances. They'd fall into the Feel-Good category, I think. I've enjoyed most of the books by her that I've read.note: Phillips also used to write under the name Karen Drogin

The Harrigan ones have mostly just been okay for me. They just don't have the appeal of those Coulter boys.
My favorite is "Phantom Waltz"...which if I'm remembering right, was NOT the first book of hers I read ;) That was "My Sunshine" I think. But I love PW; it's one of my all-time favorite books.
Posted my review :)I liked this one, but was also disappointed in it. I thought it was going to be Dan's book, but he was just a sideline character. Something about his just fascinates me.
