A good one was:
Fragile by Shiloh Walker but maybe that's more RS.

Well All of Me by Lori Wilde wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I rarely have luck with straight contemporaries it seems :(
I'm back to a paranormal historical: Shana Abé's The Dream Thief.

I think I've only read two laugh out loud authors: Linda Howard Open Season (good god I'm still howling over the condom party pack scene :D ) and just about anything by Sandra Hill. Thanks for the info Stephanie :D
I haven't read a contemporary in a good long while so I figured why not try SEP's "It Had to Be You" --everyone raves about her and I haven't read her yet.
And where there is a second Auntee, there will no doubt soon be a third ;)

The most hilarious Linda Howard one I read was OPEN SEASON --that book had me in stitches! It was the only one I read by her that I thought was really funny --though I still have a couple more to get through ;)
Well I just checked my favourites and they all fall under RS, PN or historical romance :-/
I really liked Sandra Hill's TALL DARK AND CAJUN even though it's not a favourite it's hilarious and a hard to put down read.
I'm reading GABRIEL'S WOMAN by Robin Schone --should be one of those gut wrenching eroticas that she's known for.
Good idea Isis! You're so right that there is no general contemporary romance group. Let's see what happens here :)
