This book turned out Way better than I thought it would. Yeah... the ending was a dragger, but the writing was done very well.
We've all become such over the top "Lethal Weapon" action junkies, that when I end a novel written in this time frame it makes me appreciate the simplistic descriptive style that makes a good author (like Irene).

it would be. Irène has it going on.
Kind of has a Hemmingway feel to it, could just be the period.
