Weekend of the 26th sounds good! I prefer Fridays, but Saturday should be okay also. For what it's worth, QB has gotten pretty strict lately about enforcing their 'no groups bigger than 6' rule. It's posted on the door, and they usually don't let people push tables together (in my experience.) I think it's only a rule in the restaurant side, though. The bar area might be fine, and less likely to be crowded early in the evening.
Feb. 28th sounds good to me - I like Ben Moore's since it tends to be quieter. My experience with food there, though, is that they won't make any substitutions for anything, ever, even if you're vegetarian and your breakfast comes with bacon and you just ask for the bacon to be left out entirely and not given to you as part of the meal. They still insist they have to serve it as part of the breakfast and won't even plate it separately. Not that I'm bitter, obviously.
Ok, I'm interested - I'd love to get together and chat about books. I did read Suite Francaise, but it was a while ago and I'm hazy on a lot of the details.
(Oh, and I work at the Lacey library.)
Hi King, I also work for Timberland. I applied two or three times for page positions before I got an interview - it's tough! For a page position, I would emphasize any office or clerical experience you have, since a lot of the job is shelving books and being able to file accurately. They don't necessarily expect you to have library experience, since it's entry-level, but in an interview it can really help to be enthusiastic and to have thought about why you want to work in a public library - beyond just liking to read, which is a fairly common thing they hear in interviews.
If you want any more specific advice, please feel free to message me -
