The Heaven Sent series is available for purchase at loose-id.com. You can also probably find them on fictionwise.com or allromanceebooks.com
If you're looking to get started in the m/m genre, we'd love to help you out! Come join our m/m romance group. We have a thread to discuss what we're currently reading, and we also have a pretty extensive book shelf that has been well tagged so if you're looking for a specific type of book, that would be a good place to look.
Follow this link to the group page: M/M Romance Group
The group is private due to the adult content of both the books on the bookshelf and the discussions in the threads, but as long as you're over 18 go ahead and request to join and one of the moderators will let you in.
Currently reading Diving in Deep by K.A. Mitchell.
One of those (rare) instances of too much sex. There's, like, zero story here. I'm finding it exhausting and difficult to finish. I'm disappointed, it sounded so good.
But you all will be happy to know I seem to have lost interest in any other genre. I'm strictly m/m right now. We'll see if I can make a significant dent in that m/m e-book library I seem to have acquired.

Oh, wow, that's a good one... I might need a fan.
I did some definite mixing and matching, but I got 10 done!

I ended up devouring both Revelations and Off the Beaten Path last night. I enjoyed both of them, though I have to say Revelations is probably the weakest of the Heaven Sent series. Characters were good and it was a fun read, I just didn't ever feel the intensity that I expect from Jet Mykles, I guess. I didn't feel the urgency of the romance. I guess that's what happens when you have three people instead of two.
Off the Beaten Path was really good; everyone should read it!
Did you read the follow up short to Catching a Buzz on Ally's web site? It's called Cupcake Confessions. It was really short but very cute.
I just downloaded Revelations (6.99 for an e-book? I have a couple paperbacks I'm planning to pick up today that will only cost me $5.24 at Target!), and Katrina Strauss had one released today called Off the Beaten Path that looked really good, so I got that one as well. They're both on loose id.
I became completely Ally Blue obsessed over the last week. I devoured pretty much everything she's written except for the Bay City Paranormal series, which I'm planning to tackle next. :)
She just excels at creating characters that I fall in love with and want to spend time with. Not a lot of m/m writers that leave me thinking about their characters after I've finished the book and wishing I didn't have to leave them. But all of her stuff is like that!
I'm glad I still have the Bay City Paranormal series to go, and I still need to get Dragon's Kiss. Once I've finished all my Ally Blue stuff I'm not going to know what to do with myself.
Switching out my "were-animal" category yet again. Turns out Allergies wasn't any better than bite... I gave up halfway through. Maybe it's male writers? I don't know. But I read Pledge Slave not knowing it was going to be a were story, and it was! Surprise.
I've read 9 books, one to go!

Oh, I read those too! Believe me. :) Well, actually I haven't read Johnnie/Tyler or Brent/Hell yet. Maybe I'll download those today...
But that's what I'm hoping Jet will continue to do, just drop us little bones here and there, ya know? Little fixes for those of us she's addicted.
I just finished my Heaven Sent re-read. I went in a really screwy order: Purgatory, Genesis, Faith, Hell and finished up with Heaven.
As much other m/m as I read, no one really comes close to Jet. Seems like Revelations will be the last Heaven Sent book, but I can't help hoping she'll continue to keep us updated on the lives of the Heaven Sent boys. They're just too yummy to let go. I hope they'll be making appearances in Gretchen's story.
JenMcJ wrote: "I read a review on here once and the guy said "if you are the kind of person that likes to masturbate in front of a mirror....this book about two twin brothers getting it on is for you""
That is actually pretty funny. I'll admit, I haven't actually read a twincest book. The idea just is icky, but I started Chris Owen's Gemini awhile back, and I may finish it just to see. Maybe I'll find that it's not so bad.
eek - twincest is the one thing i can't do. crossdressing isn't really my thing but i don't mind it, really. but twincest... can't do it.
Tosca, Hell is my least favorite as well. I had a hard time warming to him during that book, but I liked him a lot more after reading Genesis. His complete love and devotion to Brent was so endearing in that book it made it impossible not to like him... I haven't re-read Hell yet, but I'm hoping reading Genesis will sort of color it and I'll like it better the second time around.
As far as favorite Heaven Sent characters: "sexiness" wise I would probably pick Luc. There's something about Johnnie that's a little too overpowering and in your face. Plus long hair just has really never done anything for me. Long-ish, yes, but super long, no. Luc seems to have just the right amount of endearing arrogance.
But personality-wise, my fav is Darien. He's just so darn cute! The stream-of-consciousness way that Jet wrote him, and his complete openness and vulnerability are so adorable.
I've been re-reading the Heaven Sent books. Well, my favorites anyway. I read Purgatory and Genesis earlier this week, and am now about halfway through Faith.
Sigh... what is it about those Heaven Sent boys? Whew.
Doing some more swapping. Re-read Heaven Sent: Genesis last night, so I'm making that my celebrity one, and am moving Purgatory into "teacher/scholar" because Reese taught high school math.

Finished my re-read of Purgatory by Jet Mykles, so I'm adding that as my "celebrity" book. I may finish this challenge yet! Also swapping out Bite (which I read 7 pages of and couldn't stand) for Allergies by T.A. Chase. I'm about 1/3 through and much more likely to finish.

I don't think I prefer one or the other, as far as UF and PNR go. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a guaranteed happy ending, and sometimes not. I like them both equally. I think I probably read more PNR than UF, but it was easier for me to come up with a top 5 UF series, so whatever that means...
What I don't like about Dark Hunters is just Kenyon's writing style. I don't think her dialogue is as sharp as the other writers I like, and I feel like she beats her readers over the head with the romance. She's just way over the top with the attraction between her heroes/heroines.
As a primarily urban fantasy fan, I find Kenyon the best, and the closest to urban fantasy. There is more of a continuing story arc between the books in her series than in other paranormal romance series I've read.
I do agree that I much prefer a PNR series with a continuing story arc. That's what I like so much about BDB and Psy-Changelings. (I like Immortals After Dark because they're always a rolicking adventure and the characters are fantastic.) I don't think I read enough Dark Hunters to really get into the big story. I read the first three and that was enough.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a "do-you or don't-you" Dark Hunter thread!
Okay, if I were to pick 3 individual books to round out the top 5, it would be:
The Tin Star by J L Langley
Str8te Boys by Evangeline Anderson
and.... Snagged & Tech Support by Jet Mykles? (If you're going to make me only choose one it would be Snagged, I think.)
This is really bringing to my attention how much more I need to read in this genre. I thought I'd read a lot, but when I really look at it, I'm just a baby! I've got a lot of work to do!
Yz wrote: "LOL...I'm not going to subtract points due to negative votes...however,...now I want to know which ones are..."
LOL... I can't figure out why those darn Dark Hunters are so popular! Yick. And I really didn't like the Ghostwalkers either, though I only read the first so I wouldn't have given it a negative vote.
