Spree Series Killer (1+ book): Weather Warden series
Try out a totally new author. If the book turns out to be a stinker, you have to TRY AGAIN. Repeat until you find a series that you like and are willing to keep on reading in the future.

Author-ican Psycho (1 book): Anita Blake series
Try a book from the author you've "given up" on - call it one more try. It can be the same series you previously found only so-so, or a totally different series by the same author. It's up to you.
Dr. Hannibal Lecturer (1 book): Cassie Palmer series by Karen Chance
Start on that series that everybody is praising so much but you keep postponing it for later.
Just read it already. Go on!

The Book Strangler (1+ books)
Read a whole series from the beginning to the end (or to the last published book). You choose whether it's going to be a 15-book-long-monster or a 1-book-long-freshly-started-baby series...
3rd Degree (3 books)
Read a trilogy. An old fashioned trilogy that wraps up at book 3.
BONUS: Bloody Mary (1 book)
A series with a strong female kick-ass protagonist, something like: police detective, body builder, warrior. So for example LKH Anita Blake would work.
I love series challenges. I'm so in. Will fill in as I go. Challenge dates: 11/7/09-11/7/10

I reread all the time. Sometimes the whole book, sometimes just parts of the book that I want to read again. It's a comfort thing. It's also why I like to keep my books. Growing up my parents couldn't keep up with my reading habit, so I was constantly rereading books if I couldn't get a new one. I've read books a dozen times over. It's nice to revisit characters you fell in love with.

My bookcases. I love them. My husband just built them for me a couple of months ago. :) I was using my daughter's old (and very small) bookcase, which used to be my bookcase when I was a teenager, and all my books wouldn't fit - so for mother's day I got two new ones (love IKEA).
All my paperbacks:

Larger books and hard covers on this side - I also use the first two shelves to house books that I haven't read yet {a live TBR shelf}.

By the way - all my husband's books are, um, in the closet. ;p
