Kasia, I love the title of your 'N' book!!"

Yeah, that one was pretty intense, but I loved it. It's a little like Lord of the RingFlies, but the message is the opposite of what Golding wrote.
12880 Yup, you can use re-reads for any of the categories.

12880 Who's up for this month's Pick-It-For-Me challenge?

What's a Pick-It-For-Me Challenge?
It's a group recommend a book thing - works just like a Secret Santa or Xmas Exchange, except that the gift is replaced by a book recommendation. Just like in Secret Santa, the givee-giver pairings are randomly assigned. So whomever you get, you recommend a book for them. Preferably it should be something new and unfamiliar to your givee, NOT a book from their to-read list - the point is to introduce new books and new authors. In return, you'll have a book recommended to you (sometimes you might get a few options to choose from). After you're done reading your Pick-It-For-Me book, a short post with some feedback - a mini-review of sorts would be appreciated.

For this challenge, you need either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable) or make the person who'd be doing the recommending to you your friend. On top of that, I strongly advise keeping your bookshelves updated, otherwise you might end up with a recommendation for something that you have already read.

Signing up period will remain open until the 29th.

12880 For U I was also considering: The Ruby in Her Navel A Novel of Love and Intrigue in the 12th Century by Barry Unsworth. But I haven't read it yet...

12880 For X, I read: Sky Burial An Epic Love Story of Tibet by Xinran. If you don't mind nonfiction it's a story about young woman who sets of to Tibet searching for her lost huband.

12880 I've read Beautiful Lies A Novel by Lisa Unger. It's got a complex crime plot, solid romance angle and the pacing was good. The dude there was quite yummy (best part of the book if you ask me), but it's not my favorite genre - romance suspense. Would fit the romantic suspense category this month, though.

True that. Romance is welcome but not required. Actually, if you look at the stuff I read there's hardly any romance there nowadays...

12880 I've just finished Night Shift - my Pick-it-for-me book. It was a good pick.

I said it in the pick-it-for-me thread and I'll say it again:

At first I was afraid I might not like it all that much. The beginnig was a little unoriginal, but in no time I got sucked into the story, the were dude was yummy, Kismet likable and demons trully demonic, so in the end - I had fun. Which means another series to follow and put into my TBR, but that's ok, I welcome it.

So thanks Tosca for the recommendation! Thanks a lot!!

Yes, you only have to read one. Give the series a chance. If you don't like it and want to call it quits after the 1st book - that's fine. If you want to keep on reading - that's fine too, put it in the challenge. But the requirement is 1st book only.
