12880 My first reads for July are Lady Vixen by Shirlee Busbee and Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer

Lady Vixen is a re-read for a challenge - I've loved this book for YEARS!

Morning Glory is a re-read as well (but so long ago it's like a new book!) -- what a wonderful, wonderful story.

12880 Started my first book -- Lady Vixen- it's also another group read so I'm killing two birds with one book.

This is one I've read many times (bought it when it came out around 1980) but haven't read it for about 15 years. There is no feeling quite like rediscovering a book you loved!
12880 So this past week I read First Drop of Crimson and really liked it. I had no idea that I would like it that much, or that it would be that well-written. She makes the unbelievable sound completely plausible. Of course, Spade (yum!) is part of what the made the book so good as well.

I just bought Halfway to the Grave and look forward to starting it soon. I can't wait to meet Bones!

12880 Oooh, I thought so.

**spoilery-type comment**

Hopefully it'll be as hot as the pair-up she didn't do 2 books ago (does that make sense?).

You are so right Rossy - I'm only on page 85 and all I can think is "get OVER yourself, buddy".

And maybe I'm wrong, but is Ward setting up Blay and Qhuinn? The John Matthew and Xhex lead-in is about as subtle as a sledgehammer but the other...hmmm.

I'm liking it so far, though.

Looking forward to ranting on this one, Harper! I might end up facing LUn and LEn backwards on my bookshelf, lol.

Harper, thanks for the recs! I'm thinking I'd prefer m/m so will look up a couple of them. Thanks to you too, Rossy and Dee.

Hairy guy who goes commando? Excellent romance novel hero material!!!!
12880 Photojim, I'm sure you look AWESOME in yours! (kidding, kidding!)

Otherwise....picture the guy from "Borat" with the porn 'stache and all the body hair, in a white thong......*shudder*
12880 KimKirt wrote: "Nah I know you weren't saying that!

That's what I like about historicals -- they never wear any!!!!!

Of ourse, the hero is always a perfectly formed example of maleness so any undies would look awesome. I'm kinda partial to the sport boxers - fit like bike shorts but cut like boxers. Oh what am I saying -- who CARES? As long as it's not a thong!

Because my boobs are too small, LOL!!!!

Because I am NOT beautiful when I cry.

Thanks Alycia -- it seems EVERYONE has read this book, I'm pretty late picking it up. Much like I was with J.R. Ward. I can't wait to read it and start blabbing about it.
