I thought "Green Mile" was excellent, at least as good as the book. I also think the studio is doing a reasonable job with the Harry Potter books. No, they aren't as good as the novels, but considering the differences in the mediums and audiences, the movies are pretty good.

I just finished the first "100 Bullets" graphic novel. It's gritty, not your superhero stuff. I enjoyed it; however, for anyone not "into" comics, I'd suggest Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. His 10 books are real literature.
