I'm starting Versailles by Kathryn Davis. It's a novel about Marie Antoinette....We'll see if it's any good!
Wicked was very sllllooooooow. Idid muddle through and it got better at the end - not faster, just a bit better.
15 hours? Wow. I just read Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell on the plane last week. It's 500 pages, so you won't run out of book, but I always like light chick lit for plane rides too. Less to concentrate on!
I usually don't finish a book if it is THAT bad, but I suffered through two last year hoping they would get better. The first was At Risk by Patricia Cornwell. I love her books, butthis one wasa giant POS, blech. The other one was Priestess of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Mists of Avalon was so good and this was the sequel. I kept waiting for it to get good and when I finished it, I just thought "really? That was it? Well crap." Not good at all!
Nobody has started a new book in 14 days!?! I don't buy that for a minute! I just started Heat Lightning by John Sandford. I'm on a mystery/thriller kick right now!

I loved that book! I read it a dozen times when I was about 10. It's sooooo good! Let me know what you think when you finish.

I think she's old enough. They were written by a Momron soccer mom and any adult themes are VERY tame. They were written for her age group and I know several girls between 12-24 who have read them and LOVED them.
I read Danielle Steele when I was 12, Stephanie Meyer should have been around then! Oy vey...
I avoided reading non-fiction for a long time. I started reading biographies and autobiographies and if I am interested in theperson I love them. Another book I love that was outside my normal box was The Zookeeper's Wife by Diane Ackerman. It was written using diaries from Antonina Zabinski, the woman who, along with her husband, Jan, ran the Warsaw Zoo in Poland prior to WWII. Duringthe war the hid Jewish people from the Nazis. It is one of the most incredible books I have ever read.
