I used to have a printer but then I bought a laptop and never got around to getting a compatible printer. When i need to print, i put stuff on CD then go my mom's house

I need a printer so i can do that!
i love writing by hand, my problem starts after i transcribe what i wrote. I keep typing.then if i hwrite by hand again for for the same story i gotta remember where i left off which is hard.
been writing almost every day now. now i really have over 1000 in a post-apocalyptic story that i'm having fun writing. Slowly discovering the plot :)
I try not to edit at first, just transcribe. It's hard, i find myself finding passages that just don't flow properly or don't make sense. I also find the squiggly lines MS word puts under anything it deems wrong annoying. Sometimes I like a fragment sentence but i feel like I gotta clear the squiggle.
So i finally got around to typing up that story I started two Sundays ago and thought I had 1018 words of. Actual word count according to MS Word came to 942. No editing, pure transcribing. I may have added some counts twice last week, anyway 942!Still working on it in my journal. I write faster that way. BTW, that's why I write stories and don't do math and science-y stuff :)
I think my ideas flow better when I handwrite. I also tend to be able to follow where i left off the day before better and the story as a whole. Some sort of connection from my hand to my brain that does not happen as easily on the computer. I'm also a slow typist. Right now I've been writing in a journal my sister bought me (but i picked out because the cover has to inspire me)6 years ago or something like that. it's about 1/4-1/3 full. I like to just jot down story ideas as they come even if they interrupt story ideas already being fleshed out so there are lots of lines-thought-back to regularly scheduled programming. I like something I can carry around with me and a back up copy to stories in case my computer dies. I swear someday I will consistently back up my content on the computer.
Hey guys and gals! so I fell of the wagon for a while and haven't been doing any writing due to major life stress but I sat done this weekend and I started a new story. I wrote 102 words yesterday and 206 today...so maybe 309 tomorrow? who knows...i'm happy with a one word goal for right now.
not yet, i'm writing it in my journal first, then i'm gonna post it someplace. I'll let you know when i do
I wrote over 100 words more of the Confessions of a Shopaholic review/ chick flick essay. This thing may need a major edit when I'm done.
But now, to go take a dip in those clear, blue waters...:)
I spent two days lost in a strange land where people name's started with letters that were much closer to the beginning of the alphabet than mine...
goal for later today March 3, 2009: Finish review of Confessions of a Shopaholic...start "zombie chat room" character profiles.
