Yeah I love the GR giveaway thing, there are a lot of good books on it, stuff I normally wouldn't pick up. Gotta love free books!
Plan B 3.0 Mobilizing to Save Civilization Hot, Flat, and Crowded Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America
Cradle to Cradle Remaking the Way We Make Things
I can give you a few more if you're interested in over population/reproductive health stuff.
I added a P.G. Wodehouse book, I'm surprised nothing was on there by him since his style is very British.
I was about to suggest The World According to Garp too, but wasn't sure if that's what she meant. I would definitely second that recommendation!

Cradle to Cradle Remaking the Way We Make Things it's an environmental book that makes you think about why we don't make products so that we can reuse them rather then throwing them away. Like books for example which is why the book is made out of plastic with soy ink that can be removed and reprinted as another book.
There was a movie in the 70's and another one in 2002. I liked the 70's one much better, the latest one changed too much. There's also a TV version with Gerard Depardieu that I haven't seen yet.
I just finished the The Sisters Grimm Book 1 The Fairy-Tale Detectives series (there are 7 right now). It's about 2 girls ages 7 and 11 who discover, after something happened to their parents, that they are descendants of the Grimm brothers. They end up living with their grandmother in a town where all the old fairy tale characters live and investigating weird crimes while trying to save their parents. It's such a funny series especially if you've read any fairy tales.
