1218 No. I love my books way too much to do anything that might harm them.

The person below isolates and hides themselves in a room when reading for the fear of being interrupted at a realy good part of the book

1218 First all I hate all the Harry Potter films, although Daniel Radcliffe is a little hottie tottie. I think any Nicholas Sparks novel that has ever been adapted to a movie (the Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Message in a bottle, etc.) works way better than in it's film version. Compare the Notbook movie to the book, the movie steals your heart while the book only conjures a half grin. Another movie that was really great was Pride and Prejudice. This is a classic and I din't think it could be pulled off, but the movie was very true to the book. I am a huge fan of Jane Austen and I think she would be very content with the movie. My only complaint is that although great actors but I just imagined Bingley and Darcy to be much more handsome.

But overall, I think it rare that Hollywood makes a great novel into a great movie. It physically makes me sick when I think of all the great movies that are turned into lame movies. My issue is usually who Hollywood tends to cast. I like the option of creating and casting whomever I want to play the characters.

1218 Oh gosh I love all my books! But my most beloved book is probably Ella Enchanted. I've had it since I got into reading... and of course probably my BSC series and Jud Blumes. LOL. You can't find those babies anywhere anymore.

1218 Firas the name of the narrator in Walk Two Moon is Phoebe and I totally disagree with you. I loved that book. However, I agree with Ron Weasly being insanely annoying. He wasn't too bad in the first few books and I hated when Malfoy or anyone else bullied him. But when the books went on Ron became more obnoxious and selfish. I still can't believe he walked away from Harry and Hermione at one point in Death Hallows.

But the most annoying character is Ruth in Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. If you have ever loved anyone but somehow couldn't be with them than you'd hate people like Ruth too. Read the book, you'll understand.
