Freakonomics. Lots of weird information in that one has given me a new perspective on many topics- especially teacher cheating and baby names.
Odd Thomas. No offense to anyone. I was just really annoyed by most of the characters, and especially by Odd's abundant and convenient random powers (psychic magnetism? Being able to psychically judge his cards in poker? Prophetic dreams?)
His Dark Materials
Harry Potter
Lord of the Rings
Chronicles of Narnia
Searching For Dragons series (A must for pre-teens/teens, IMO)
Would an anime book like Ouran High School Host Club Volume 1 count as a young adult book for the contest? My sister really wants me to read it.

Thanks! I've never seen anything like this. It's awesome. And fun :)

I've also read The Teahouse Fire by Ellis Avery, set in Japan. 10.6, 10 points.
