Finished People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks from Cynthia's today to go along w/ Water for Elephants from Lori's shelf finished 7/5 for 25.3. I thoroughly enjoyed People of the Book. I loved the way the story was told by taking minute hints from the books and growing those into an entire history story. Great read!

I changed from just Joy to Joy Marie because I think there will be another Joy participating in the upcoming Fall Challenge. Thanks Cynthia!
Finished The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón for 15.1. I would abosolute love to go to Barcelona, Spain. I would stay at the Hotel Rivoli Ramblas because it was built in Art Deco style, which I love. I would spend one day at the beach...of course. I would then visit Sangrada Familia on which building began in 1882 and it has another 30-80 years of building left before it is completed. I would also go see Casa Mila, well know for it's architecture. Next I would take a day for museums including the Picasso Museum, the Miro Museum and the National Museum of Art of Casa Lunya. Finally I would go shopping on Ramblas, the most popular street in Barcelona and then go shopping at Poble Espanyol de Montjuic and visit the Magic Fountain of Montjuic.

Finished Beach Road by James Patterson for 5.8. A great murder mystery with a great plot twist! Really enjoyed this book.

by Anita Diamant (read on 6/8/09) to 30.9 because I love the cover of this book and that is where I was going to originally use it anyway. I was going to use it as half of the summer peace accord, but since the challenge is almost over, I know I won't finish that task.

In honor of back to school....read a non-fiction book that teaches you something new, then give us a short summary about what you learned from the book.
Finished Lost In Austin by J. R. Ripley for 25.6. This was the only book I could find that was actually set in Austin, the capital of Texas. I was a little skepitcal at first, but by the third chapter, I was hooked. It ended up being a pretty good little murder mystery and it was worth the read. Thanks for this challenge.

Just finished The Host for half of 25.5. I am now starting on Key of Light for half of 15.6 (It's a library book that will be due back shortly). These multibook tasks are killing my point total!
Quick question: Is The Host by Stephenie Meyer considered YA? I know the vampire series was, but I'm not sure about this one. I would like to move it to 25.5, but then I realized it said no YA so I wasn't sure.
