I like the books and the movies.. they have several changes in the movies from the original stories.. so I take them as separate entities.. if you liked the movies though I think you would like the books as well! (sorry it took so long to respond!)

Hehe thats kind of what I was doing. We had gotten really slow at work so instead of spending all my time online playing flash games and rotting my brain really.. I started reading a lot more I was reading about 1-2 books a week for a while.. ^_^.. and nothing wrong with comic books! Thanks! I'm already ahead of my normal goal for the year!

awww my library is connected to 3 other libraries so I tend have to wait for books because they arent' always at my library but I have been able to find everything I've wanted so far.. we shall see if it keeps up.. I've only just started using this library system
I'll keep that in mind.. I'm still waiting for the library to get both of them in for me.. I'm hoping to be able to pick them up this Friday!

and others all to the same person.. she is my best friend but I haven't seen her in 3 years because she lives on the other side of the country.. I forgot I lent them to her and was wondering where they were until she told me she finally read Beloved a few weeks ago!

I've been working on the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice of late but for a breather I'm reading currently The Poe Shadow A Novel by Matthew Pearl.. I liked his first novelThe Dante Club A Novel.. and I like Edgar Allan Poe, historical fiction, and murder mystery .. this book has all three!
Merrick was great and the way it ended makes me really want to keep going. When I found out that Blood and Gold tells us about Marius I got really excited.. I was already looking forward the seeing how the Mayfairs played into the story when I got to Merrick, even though its a different branch it was nice already knowing at least part of her family's history ..
I actually work with a girl who went to school with Anne Rice's son which I get a kick out of.. I have so many of her books on my too read list! I kind of wish I read Pandora already seeing as it mentions it in the beginning of Merrick!
I had a little trouble getting into Memnoch the Devil at first but I did enjoy it.. it was the same with Tales of the Body Theif for me last year.. I really enjoyed The Vampire Armand though and Merrick I couldn't put down. I've already requested a hold on the next 2 books in the set by my library.. I'm looking forward to reading Blood and Gold and Blackwood Farm! I hadn't realized how much I'd enjoy the Vampire Chronicles. Even though I loved The Witching Hour and Lasher.. ^_^
