1218 Well, today is Day 1 for me. I was crushed by the wagon. You can probably see my corpse lying in the dust.

I must say that it's been worth it. I've bought 7 books from Amazon recently. I'm not going to beat myself over the money because I have my summer job lined up.

I totally agree. I think we should strive to be better, not perfect. As long as we cut down on how many books we buy, that should be OK...right?

I got my Amazon package with The Good Earth and Provence A-Z and I bought a larger copy of The Fouintainhead (which I believe we already decided was OK since I'm not adding to my net titles). I think I'm good for a while, although if I get another 40% off coupon or some Borders bucks...

1218 That is so exciting! I'm so proud of you!

1218 I got all 3 of my books back. I was so happy! I sent the girl an email and asked how her progress was. She said she'd go ahead and give them back because she was afraid she'd eventually forget. So I currently have all of my books in my possession. Yay for me.

1218 Well, I did decide to re-read Ya-Yas in Bloom. But I made it work for my challenge because it was written in the last 5 years.

I'm not sure what I'll be reading next. I've been sick and my eyes have been hurting, so I haven't done much in the way of reading, unfortunately. Don't you just hate it when you're sick and you can't read?

1218 That'd be me. But I'll probably eat the same thing I usually eat for breakfast on Wednesdays--eggs, yogurt, and a bagel with cream cheese.

The person below me is starting a new exercise regime today.

1218 That one is really hard. I've been living with someone I hate for the past 5 months and it feels like jail. I guess I'd have to go with someone I hate though because I can come and go as I please and read and stuff. But if it was a jail like Martha went to (Camp Cupcake, wasn't it?) I'd pick the jail.

Would you rather have breakfast for every meal or have dinner for every meal?

1218 (I don't have a sister, but if I did...) I'd rather my best friend betray me because I could always get a new best friend. Unless my best friend was more sisterly to me than my actual sister...

Would you rather lose your senses of taste/smell or touch?

1218 Yes. I have a history test at 12:30 and the professor doesn't hand out study guides like the rest of the history professors.

The person below me should start making breakfast because they're hungry.

1218 I was POed with it earlier because, wouldn't you know, right after I ordered Franny and Zooey, after weeks of looking for it, I saw it in the community library.
Mar 30, 2009 04:54PM

1218 So the awesomest thing happened today! At my local Starbucks they have a community library where you're free to take or leave a book. I found a copy of The Art of Racing in the Rain, which is on my to-buy list, that is in VERY good condition. I took it. Yay!

1218 I bought The Good Earth and Provence A-Z. As far as the CD and movie--a Judy Garland 3-disc collection and Cruel Intentions.

1218 I guess thoughts because dreams could be frightening.

Would you rather have a third eye that doesn't actually work in the middle of your forehead or a third nipple on your forehead?

1218 Yeah! A few of them--class, homework, and being in the same house as my roommate.

The person below me is looking for a new place to live.

1218 Since I don't have a brother, I'd rather date my best friend's brother.

Would you rather be really tall (like 20 feet) or really short (like 2 inches)?

1218 No. I had the house to myself all weekend and didn't really leave until my mom came over and we went to a couple of stores.

The person below me did something exciting over the weekend.

1218 I guess I'd rather be a vegan, although I'd probably end up killing myself. It would definitely open my eyes to how dependent I am on animal products, not to mention send me to the poor house for having to buy vegan/soy food. But I just can't stomach the thought of the maggots...

Would you rather have a stomach bug or a migraine?

1218 Hmmmm...I guess potato because there are a lot of way to have potatoes.

Would you rather give up beef or chicken (please, no vegetarian explanations about how either one is treated; it's strictly a matter of preference)

1218 Summer school and go to a Yankees game with my dad (although I'm not sure where we'll go to see the game since we're from Oklahoma).

Tell me two nice things you have done for someone recently...

1218 I am totally a morning person. It's weird though because I'm also a night person. My peak hours are from like 8 at night until 2 in the afternoon. So, from 2-7 pm, I'm quite worthless.

The person below me had a nice, quiet, peaceful weekend.
