I really enjoyed Inkheart and Inkspell..That reminds me to look into Inkdeath.
I saw a trailer for the movie and it looks good.
Oohhh I so agree with you! When I bought my copy of Twilight I made sure to get the apple one instead of the one with the characters on it.

I do a little bit of both...if the book I'm reading is "older" and I'm not sure that I'll like it I always do the library.
I know it sounds wierd but I've been known to read a book in the library then go out and buy a copy of the book for my shelves ;-)

It's funny I didn't like the first Lord of the Ring Movie - I loved the book and was disappointed at the things they changed. But after several years -- and the other ones came out I decided Peter Jackson did a pretty good job with the whole thing afterall. I just wish he wouldn't have "added" things that weren't in the book - taking stuff out is fine - but adding new stuff - why? I mean there is already too much to take in.

I don't mind signatures - I'm always looking for new authors and have found a few that I'm interested in beacuase of their tags.

I really want/wanted to read this book for this month but can't even finish the other book I'm still on - maybe if I take a few days off around the Holidays I can read it before the month is over.

Wow - over 500 posts since the last time I visited - I've been way to busy....I'm going to be scanning this later and adding books to my TBR pile.
I'm still reading The Crown Conspiracy but the fact that I'm taking a long time has nothing to do with the book itself - I really really like it. I'm just really busy with work and the Holidays and don't have the time to read that I would like.
Robin..If you are out there somewhere tell your husband he's an excellent story teller!!

Dorie: The Alienist sounds interesting
Laura: History of Love also sounds good
Robin: Mistborn is a good book
Cool Idea....This is the first paragaph of the book I'm currently reading...The Crown Conspiracy.
Archibald Ballentyne held the world in his hands, conveniently contained within fi fteen stolen letters. Each parchment was penned with meticulous care in a fine, elegant script. He could tell the writer believed that the words were profound and that their meaning conveyed a beautiful truth. Archibald felt the writing was drivel, yet he agreed with the author that they held a value beyond
measure. He took a sip of brandy, closed his eyes, and smiled.
Kind of an interesting begining since the character we are first introduced to -- as far as I can tell - really doesn't come up again. (At least I don't think he will) - the real main characters aren't even in the first chapter - lol. It is the guys who steals the letters he has.

I finished Twilight -- wasn't impressed. And started The Crown Conspiracy - which I'm really enjoying. I'm really hoping to do the reads for this month - especially Stardust though things are terribly busy at work atm and I'm sure if I will be able to.

If I get to 50 pages and I'm not pulled in - I know I'm in trouble - if it is something that came highly recommended I'll give it to 100 and if it doesn't have me by then - I put it down with few exceptions.
I wish I would have followed this rule with "Twilight" recently but because of the hype I read the whole thing - I should have stopped - as I did not see what all the passion for this book was about.
I saw the musical and LOVED it....Read the book and was very disappointed. They are very different. I did not like the "darkness" of the book - but in general I don't go for that kind of thing. I won't be reading any of the others.
