This is one of the fastest reads I have ever encountered. I put a lot off just so I could finish this book! It was just such a horrible concept to me, but Suzanne Collins did such a wonderful job! I was so into it that I was yelling at the characters! There were some parts that grossed me out (I have a very light stomach for killing/gorish images), but it was still SO! GOOD! Anyone else think so? ^_^
Hello! This may go against the norm. ^_^I don't know if there are a lot of people who like to cook out there, but if so, I need cook book recommendations (or even recipes from said books)! I am most interested in North Dakota, Montana, or Massachusetts related books/recipes, but of course any recommendations are welcome.
Thanks a heap!

Grace wrote: " Is that about the movie of the same name? I really love Asian horror movies."Yup! He is also the writer of The Ring. The short story isn't really scary though.
The City of Ember is a fantastic novel. I personally did not care for the second of the four novels, which makes me a bit reluctant to read the third. But The City of Ember was, again, fantastic. ^_^The movie was not nearly as good as the book, but isn't that always the way?
I can't come up with ten, but here are a some I can think of off the top of my head.....1. The Da Vinci Code-Dan Brown
2. Twilight-Stephenie Meyer

4. The Farthest Away Mountain-Lynn Reid Banks
5. The Hounds of The Morrigan-Pat O'Shea
6. The Dark Is Rising Series-Susan Cooper
7. Darkly Dreaming Dexter-Jeff Lindsay
I was also very keen on any Nancy Drew mystery as a child. ^_^
Hmmmm.......1. The Big Sky
2. Far Traveler
3. The Book of Story Beginnings
4. The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come
5. Marco's Pendulum
6. Maddigan's Fantasia
7. The Extraordinary and Unusual Adventures of Horatio Lyle
8. Pamela Or Virtue Rewarded
9. GHOST IN THE ATTIC, THE
10. A Wizard's Dozen Stories of the Fantastic
This also might be stretching what you're looking for a little, but have you ever read anything by Koji Suzuki? Dark Water is a phenomenal collection of short stories. A bit on the dark side, but still very good.
The last books I bought for myself were the Dexter series, and in doing so I accidentally signed up for some stupid club. But I hardly buy anything for myself anymore, so I have to watch out for "cheap" books on the internet I suppose.
Elizabeth Straub (Amy & Isabelle) is really good, as well as Ann Patchett (The Patron Saint of Liars) and Alice Hoffman (Practical Magic).
Does anyone remember the TV series Avonlea? I used to watch that show with my grandmother, and loved it. Anne was never in it, but Gilbert, Marilla, Mrs. Lynde, and Miss Stacy were all there at one point or another.
I always like the bad guys, so I thought Snape was really cool. And it helped tht Alan Rickman played him in the movies. ^_^
I got through The Da Vinci Code in two days I think. That was one that I actually really enjoyed! But I heard Angels & Demons was not as good.

I was planning on reading that one too. ^_^
I was reading Beaches in the 6th grade. I left it in math class, and my math teacher had given it to my English teacher to give back to whoever it belonged to (she didn't know whose it was). My English teacher held it up in front of the class and I had to go up and get it. That was the first time I was ever embarrassed about what I was reading.
